Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries — Restaurant in Sharpsburg

In one sense, it's not their fault, because I prefer higher quality food than what they will ever serve. But the deal breaker is the custard experience I have had. I tried their custard 4 times in the last month and found it ALWAYS to be uneven in texture and taste, and at times to have crystallized ice in it, chunks of greasy cream derivatives, and mottled, unidentifiable flavors. And the worse part? The absolute inexcusable aspect of my experience is the fact that the refuse to offer me a standard, typical, normal sized, cake cone. No only gigantic 3 secco sugar cones are available. Really?!!! People want choice that your imposed options Hwy 55! Sad, because I can walk there making it convenient; unhappy because it's not worth the walk.

I went on Oct. 29, 2024 at approximately 7:40 pm. No other customers were there. Three people were working possibly as one gentleman sat at the counter shooting the breeze with the other worker. I ordered water and an Americana Burger all the way with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and mayo. I received a burger with onions, mustard and cheese. When I inquired, I was told by another waitress that the other waitress was confused when I agreed to "all the way" even though I asked the initial server about the burger. If this is the best you can do in training your workers then please shut this place down. I will never go back there again. The floors were nasty, seating was torn, missing trim work, areas needed painting and the menus were not updated (prices redacted). It is obvious that no one is monitoring this...

Restaurant in Sharpsburg, NC. Ordered 2 all American Cheese steaks with provolone cheese add jalepenos to pick up. When I got home I hade. Cheesesteak with American cheese jalepenos on the side no onions no green peppers no mushrooms. Our second “All American cheesesteak” add jalepenos had no mushrooms, no onions with jalepenos on the side. Nothing was right…meat and cheese that’s all we had…Pretty disappointing. Called restaurant to let them know our disappointment; person who answered call obviously was aware of mistake asking what would you like us to do about it. Come on. You obviously were aware of this when it was happening....
