Subway — Restaurant in Sheffield

Clean, nice, and food always appears fresh and well kept. Somehow, this location always seems to have people working that are happy to be there - and that makes a great big difference. I've been going for a long time now, and the staff occasionally changes - but still, whoever is doing the hiring there is pretty spot on. This is one of the locations that still seem to take "sandwich artist" seriously - and they've always gone to good lengths to make sure it's not sloppy, and don't skimp on toppings (they of course don't go crazy - but I've seen lots of subways seem to be counting their green pepper strips by the strip, and the lettuce by the leaf lol). When we arrived at 5:30 on November 5th on Jackson Highway Sheffield, AL, this young man was a one man show!! Taking calls, filling online orders,had a long line, working the cash register, the food bar, the kitchen and very pleasant. However, I don’t think this was fair to him at all!!! So my husband and I and a number of ppl in line gave him tips and were proud of him. But he should always have help. The manager was supposed to be there an hour earlier but as we ate in our truck an hour later she came in. So we’re happy she was well but we hope she had a good...

This store is the ONLY subway I will go to. The guys that work here are great at their jobs. Excellent customer service, store is always clean & sandwich toppings are fresh. I had a bad experience at a different subway in a different state and swore I wouldn't go back. This subway was open during the ice and snow in January and we went there, instantly changed my mind to go back here when I want an amazing sub with amazing service to go with. Management would do good to keep these guys around....
