I came with my husband and our kids today; we wanted to grab ice cream and coffee before heading back home, with 2.5 hours drive ahead of us. I didn’t notice they were about to close. We bought ice cream while people were still sitting inside. One of the ladies started to sweep the floor and I asked if it’s ok that we are still sitting there? She said it was okay. After a couple of minutes came a young red headed, standing near the counter and shouted at us that they are closed and we need to leave!! I was totally in shock as she shouted and commanded us to get out of there. It was really humiliating and shameful. I am sorry I tipped 20% ; I knew we were just getting Ice cream and not getting served in any way, but I like to support local businesses. I’ve never been in a situation that I’ve been “thrown” out of a place. And as I mentioned, I did ask if it is was okay and was replied that it was okay. It was a really bad experience and one I hope I’d never...
Read moreJust ok for me. The coffee was alright, nothing great. The service was not good. There were only 2 people in line when I got there and by the time I ordered (it took the lady 12 minutes to capture 2 orders before me) there were about 14 people behind us, not because they piled in in masses, rather because the lady at the counter kept getting distracted. The man in front of me had to repeat his order several times and she was clearly not listening (turning around to talk to someone in the kitchen) and would then repeat back something totally different. When he corrected her she got overwhelmed and rudely said "hold on" so she could process it (as if he were overwhelming her by asking for an onion bagel for the 3rd time - not an everything bagel). I was very explicit with my order of 1 thing.
I did not have ice cream. Many of the good reviews are for ice cream.
Perhaps the long lines you see in the photos are the result of slow service more...
Read moregreat coffee, i live in the area and like to come here. unfortunately though i had to listen to some men talk loudly spewing hateful political speech, talking about how women shouldn’t be allowed to drive and should be oppressed like they are in the middle east. he was talking loudly as if he wanted to antagonize everyone in the shop. otherwise great place but probably won’t come back here since this isn’t the first time i’ve heard these men loudly talking about inflammatory subject matter. it’s a shame that these types of entitled and rude men ruin nice places. *Edit: one star now. not only is the owner responding to my review defending this man, but has the audacity to make excuses for his attention seeking hateful rhetoric. i am also a local and would like to have a peaceful cup of coffee sometimes. she is putting his comfort above the comfort of...
