Royal Bakery — Restaurant in Shelton

This is a local bakery with quality goods. However, the service is very poor.

The individuals working the counter, more often than not are rude and or short with customers.

Secondly, when ordering custom cakes and goods it is observed that the order is incorrect and those who take the order seem to have a lack of knowledge of their products and options (this has now been observed across multiple orders).

Finally, and perhaps, most concerning, it has been specifically noted that the total bill presented at checkout is inflated when examining the credit card statement.

Conclusion…please be cautious and always ask for a receipt when making purchases. Local establishments are important to communities, but they must also be held accountable for unethical practices and held to the same standards of...

My only regret relocating within CT was the distance factor between my new "digs" and Royal Bakery. For starters I'm convinced eastern CT does not know what a linzer tart cookie is. And as for canolli cookies . . these cookies were first discovered in NYC in little Italy, after many trips to the city to buy this delectable treat, the bakery stopped making them. I thought I'd never again experience this little bit of heaven again but surprise of surprises Royal Bakery started making canolli cookies!
