2024 update: new owners but same menu, same chefs I believe as well. I got my usual salmon special. It was a bit different with a sweet sauce, it was amazing. I like a switch up that actually works. Same gear staff and ambiance. Still a favorite of ours! I go to the gym above the restaurant and in all these years have been tempted to try this place out. I see a coworker of mine there often, so my gym friend and I decided to go finally, we were not disappointed. A mutual friend gave us a heads up of her favorite meals and appetizers (peak chop with gorgonzola and the thai calamari). My friend ordered that main dish, it comes with a mound of mashed potatoes and veggies. Those were on the specials menu. I also got salmon which came with rice and mixed veggies. The portion sizes are great! Also we had a basket of bread with a chunk of some really good crunchy crusty slices of bread. No drinks menu, but full bar. My drink was a Moscow mule. It was good, but could been stronger (the ginger beer and the alcohol! ). The waitress was great, wonderful with recommendations! The ambiance was cozy. It was a Wednesday evening and the place was full. But you could still hold a conversation at your table without yelling or disturbing a table next to you. There are two bathrooms. Both were clean, spacious. We tried a dessert. It was a crepe with banana and white Russian ice cream. The ice cream I could eat by itself. Perfect flavor, hard ice cream. The rest was just okay. The crepe was good but the chocolate was like a dark chocolate, so there was no sweetness to it. And the banana was not ripe at all, so again no sweetness to it at all. We each took a bite and were done with it. But hey you can't win them all and there were plenty of other desserts, so I guess we'll try them all in time as we already agreed we're coming back!

Great little bar and grill. Wonderful staff and a solid menu. Ambiance is classic without being outdated. Most folks eating here have salt and pepper hair or grandchildren or both. Not that there's anything wrong with that! I'll cut to the chase: my filet medallions with the au poivre setup were delicious. They were well-seasoned, perfectly medium rare, and flavorful without being too fatty. I opted for extra veggies instead of starch, and was served with a generous mix of asparagus, spinach, green beans, carrots, summer squash, and zucchini. As if I needed any other food, the Caesar side salad was pretty good (croutons could use some seasoning) and the bread is always delicious. Overall a very good experience. You definitely get what you pay for, and then some.

First experience with this restaurant. The reviews prior to going sounded great. Over all we have a nice time, however, this place isn’t necessarily a fine dining experience. Food, good but not over the top amazing as the reviews suggest. Drinks, not sure what the bartender was doing but none of the mixed drinks were good - not one, none of us drank them so money wasted. Our server was very friendly and efficient. Atmosphere - this place is more nice a hometown pub/restaurant than a place for fine dining. The crowd is more on the more mature side. The place had a stale, musty smell to it as well. Decor, it could use some help.

I decided to try this restaurant for an anniversary dinner after hearing positive feedback from friends and a strong rating on Google. I'm not sure if I got them on an off night, but this is easily the WORST $100+ dinner for two I've had.

For starters, we made a reservation earlier this week. We got seated at a table right in between an entryway, where waitstaff is constantly passing by very narrowly. Upon going to use the rest room, there was water all over the floor. The wait staff was notified, as it was starting to flood, and they had to close down one of the two bathroom areas.

We opted for two of the fish specials listed for the night, the sole and cod. It took 55 minutes for the food to arrive. The only logical explanation for the terrible experience I am about to summarize is MAYBE they forgot about our order, and it was rushed out without properly being seasoned or paid attention to.

The vegetables were almost still completely crisp and completely flavorless, remniscent of frozen microwaveable vegetables, completely unseasoned and flavorless. My cod dish had crab mixed in, and the lack of seasoning made it impossible to tell if I was eating cod fish or crab unless I was looking at the texture and coloring. The rice was completely bland. To top it off, there are no pepper or salt shakers on any tables, so I couldn't even salvage the non-existant seasoning.

The only redeeming quality, and the reason it is not a one star review was the pleasant wait staff. With that said, it will be my last time going here. Maye they don't do fish well, I'm just completely...

Me and my fiance were one of the first people to be seated and the four groups that came in after us were served their food while we waited for ours to show up. The waitress even came over and asked us how are food was and then realized our table was empty of food and disappeared. When we finally recieved our food Ahi tuna special that was suppossed to be pan seared and what I got was over cooked and dry tuna. The waitress was nowhere to be found after quickly dropping off our food and leaving so couldn't request another piece of tuna cooked properly. When she finally came back with the bill I showed her the tuna and she said the tuna is usually only seared and not cooked much and offered to take off some money, a whole $2! After complaining about having to pay $26 for over cooked tuna she then went to ask if she could take off more and came back and took off half the price which I think was still to high of a price. This was the second time I have been there and had problems the previous time as well. Not sure if it was because we were younger than the rest of the crowd, or had the wrong look, or maybe that only treat the regulars nicely. Either way I will not be returning again, there are to many other good restuarants to eat at and don't want to waste any more money on the lousy food at...
