Woodys Bancroft TAVERN — Restaurant in Shiawassee Township

We have family members that just moved out to Bancroft and we went out to see the new house and to picknup one the family members that was visiting and go for a bite to eat around there ,,, we obviously don't know the area well but when googled we seen this place was open and seemed pretty good for food and atmosphere wise ,, .... when came in it was more a bar type but had tables and another family present so seemed like we would like it, but looking on more seemed they didn't have many workers presentamd lot dirty tables for not being to crazy busy ,, The waitress took a minute to greet us and when did it wasn't the friendliest,, but they were a little busy at that moment and we understand how that can be , so let it slide, but when went to to order they seemed to be out of things that definitely shouldn't be out of, like a signature burger topping ,, we all ordered diff things ,, I got the chicken sandwich since wasn't really much that seemed good on the menu to me and it was awful !!! very dry and just blah ,, the bacon was good I will give it that but that was it , everyone else said food was not that good either ,, two of us had burgers and a wet burrito that was pretty skimpy and blah again ! .... if the waitress would been just a little more attentive when it did slow down and checked on us I might been a little more satisfied and able to give it a better review , ,but I think this place is for if u want just a drink and to sit and not be bothered .... hopefully our family members will find a little place to...

A couple years back we stopped at Woody’s because we were told about the pork skins fried up fresh. It was such fun listening to them snap, crackle and pop when they were brought out. They even crackled on our drive home. We’ve been talking up to friends how fun they are so took the long drive out so that they could experience the fun. Disappointed that they brought out pork rinds that were already prepared (no popping) and were out of the flavor that was recommended to us. They were also out of the brat burger we had all agreed to try. Nevertheless, the rinds were still tasty, the burgs were good, and the service was good. Went in for the first time and it will be the last time. They were not super busy when I went in. Then I ordered and it seemed to take forever to get my food when there was only 2 other tables. The severing were very small for the price. While waiting for my food someone came in with their dog, it did not have a service animal vest on either it seemed like just someone's pet.
