I used Yelp to find a kid friendly place with burgers. I came across this place and BINGO. Their website even shows arcade games and says it's a family friendly place.
We went inside and sat ourselves. They had normal menus out, no kid menus. No big deal, they provided them for us when I asked.
After another long wait, we finally got to order. Then we went to play some games, but there was none. My kids were bummed since I showed them the pics from the website and said we would play games.
We sat back down by some vulgar people. I get it, that's not the restaurants fault. But still didn't get the family friendly vibe I hoped for. We finally got our food and my kids order was wrong. With no apologies, our server took the food back and disappeared. I was going to talk to my kids about it and we likely would have eaten what was provided, but she just took it back without saying anything. Odd.
After another long wait, and listening to music that maybe impressionable 6 and 8 year olds shouldn't be listening to, we finally got our food. The kids were pretty hungry and we ate fast.
It felt like half an hour went by after we were done which I think could have been true at a minimum, when the server finally noticed my card ready to pay. She comes by "You guys ready", grabs my card, comes back a few mintues later, "sorry about the wait" and walks away.
Besides being mislead by the website, having horrible and slow service, the food was good. It's probably a good place to knock a few back with some friends and grab a bite. Definitely not a place to bring the family on a...
Read moreReally only ate here because I had a gift certificate I needed to use before it expired. However, we ended up making friends with our server, Tatum, who was an absolute joy to be around. Our food was delicious, absolutely no complaints there! I had what I would consider a perfect medium-rare burger, which pleasantly surprised me since I wasn't asked my preference. Their cheese curds are prepared in my favorite way, with a thinner, tempura-like batter (instead of the bready kind you get some places). My partner is a bit of a picky eater who typically only likes the "formed" tenders made of ground chicken instead of the more natural cuts, but it was yet another surprise that they actually really liked these more natural ones. Overall, we had a great experience, and if you live in the area, I definitely would recommend it. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because 1) The table we sat at by the front window (which was the only one available at the time) needs to be fixed ASAP. There were some clear attempts to help balance it by using the old "slip a wedge of something under one leg" trick, but it was still a wobbly mess despite the many efforts to improve it. And 2) It was just too expensive for me to return, unfortunately. While the food was good, the drinks were subpar and not worth the price. All in all, if you can afford it,...
Read moreOkay, so my two friends went to Shore 96. My friend accidentally left their wallet inside after they ate. They realized when they were driving back to her house that they forgot it. So they drove back & the friend who left her wallet was shaken up & couldn’t speak because she was afraid she’d get in trouble. So my friend went to speak for her he asked a nearby waiter if a wallet was found & they said it was at the bar. They were like “okay good news!” they both walked up to the bar & My friend leaned over & said “hey was there a wallet dropped off here?” & the bartender there was like yeah. Since my friend was legit so shaken she couldn’t speak my friend said “well it’s mine.” & he said no it’s not & they gave my friend a dirty look like they were trying to steal it from her. The bartender kept looking at them weirdly & then a nearby customer said “then why’d you say it was yours?” Then they had to tell them she’s so scared she can’t speak, & this group of girls only looked at My friend & said they found it. My friend was the one being accused honestly I think some racism is played here. We were with each other all night. Why would a random 16-year-old with their friend ask if a wallet was found? My friend was just trying to be a good person. So the staff at Shore 96 profiled her thinking that he was trying...
