Subway — Restaurant in Shoreview

Where to start:

Walk in at early lunch time (11:15). Two people working behind the counter. One is making a sandwich. The other is telling a graphic story about her septum surgery to a couple waiting for her to load their sandwiches up with toppings. Septum surgery finally gets around to finishing the sandwich, and checks the couple out. She proceeds to leave the counter. She does not return.

Other employee is making a toasted sandwich for next person in line. The sandwich comes out of the oven, and there is apparently something wrong. Employee starts over making new sandwich. She finally gets to mine. I want it toasted. She toasts it.

I ask for a number of toppings individually. As we arrive at the end of the counter near the sauces, I stop to look through the list as it has been some time since I've been to Subway (I have abstained from this restaurant for some time - I had forgotten why until today). Before I realize what is happening, she is loading the sandwich up with mayo for no good reason, as it has not been requested. I can only assume, she loves mayo, and wants me to partake in her favorite toppings. It requires me to either wait behind the three people that are now waiting in line (septum surgery is still noticeably absent), or wipe it off. I choose the latter.

In any event, back to abstaining...

Today I went into a Subway. 2 ladies were inside working. 1 lady was stocking the cooler on her phone, other lady was printing up orders?? Im guessing and was being ignored for a bit. Then I started to be helped.

I ordered a tuna sub on italian herb and cheese, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, extra onion, jalapenos, mayo, sweet onion sauce.. i dont like it toasted… Spicy and sweet tuna sub yummy!!

Wasnt given any napkins and by the pop machine no napkins..

Again staff who was doing the cooler was and is still on her phone complaining someone and cleaning and its on speaker this time. Not appropriate their are customers and a review critic sitting and eating..

I meant to put this under this shore view subway it accidently went under 1740 lexington. But it is the sub way near kick boxing place in the shoreview mallish area.

Ordered hours ahead of time to pick up on the way home from sports. Waited 50+mins for our order of two subs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only one person working, asked for a refund and to cancel our order after waiting so long and the kid was new and didn't know how to do it. Not his fault he's a one man show and new. The kid ended up refunding us back in cash. I feel bad for the kid, he did his best being new (only reason I gave service a 3 star) and he stuck it out. A lot of ppl would have walked out. Whoever is the manager or owner of this location is responsible for this place constantly being under staffed and for this happening! It was a busy night with customers, but this is not the first time this has happened to us here. Won't be coming to this location again. No one should have to wait pushing an hour to get two subs ordered hours...
