While itâs pretty and clean.. I was a little confused about this place. My preference is different from others but. Their cold brew is more sugar than coffee. I had two sips and couldnât even drink the rest. Our cinnamon rolls were completely burnt at the bottom. We thought it was just us. But my boyfriend had his second one looked at the bottom nothing but burnt. Flipped the others over theyâre all burnt. It took forever for our food to come out. We hardly got checked on by our two servers. Took forever to get more water. Took forever to get our check too. We waited a good while. Then the lady came back and said yâall paid right? Mam what? No lol if we werenât honest people I would have said yes and left. Because the food was mediocre nor was it that warm when I got it. However our server was nice and friendly I just think theyâre not fully trained or prepared enough or maybe theyâre understaffed already? Idk. What threw me is my server saw our food was burnt just looked at it and left. If I was a server and I saw I didnât touch my coffee or saw my customers food was burnt I would ask if I could have the kitchen re make it. Because Iâm paying to sit and eat here not paying how to do your job. Yes, we could have said something but they all seemed like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. And it would have took probably 40 minutes to get it. The potatoes were good. Would I come back? No, But I will say you have very sweet servers. Perhaps management can step in more do more rounds around the joint to be all eyes and ears considering this is a new location. Help your servers out make sure the customers are taken care of I would hate to see...
Read moreI've driven past Turning Point numerous times, often wondering what culinary delights it held within. Today, my curiosity led me to finally stop in for breakfast, and I am thrilled that I did.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome in a beautifully designed and well-lit environment. The ambiance set the tone for what would be an exceptional breakfast dining experience. If first impressions are anything to go by, I knew I was in for a treat.
My server was attentive and eager to guide me through the menu, noting that this was my first visit. She highlighted their special French drip coffee options and the unique summer menu offerings. I opted for a dish from the summer menu, and I was astounded by both the speed of service and the presentation of the dish. The meal was served at the perfect temperature, and the flavors were simply outstanding.
Midway through my meal, my server informed me that this is the first location of the brand in Virginia, with several other locations along the East Coast. She also introduced me to their rewards program, which was incredibly easy to join, thanks to the availability of free Wi-Fi for guests.
An added bonus was learning about their call-ahead seating option for weekends, which Iâm sure will come in handy for future visits.
Overall, my experience at Turning Point was nothing short of delightful. The combination of excellent service, delicious food, and thoughtful amenities left me thoroughly impressed. I look forward to many more visits to this wonderful new addition to Glen Allen's...
Read moreMy wife and I were excited to try this place. We were greeted and sat down pretty quickly, however it took several minutes for water to come to the table. We noticed a half full restaurant, but probably a dozen empty tables that had not been bussed yet. Once the bus boy did come out, he clearly didn't care about his job and moved at a glacial pace. We finally ordered..I got the Health Freak Combo, a CrossFit egg white omelet with veggies, a Power Grain pancake, and 2 chicken sausages. My wife had the Wilbur skillet. The restaurant is very open and inviting on the inside, and it's in a great location. My breakfast was delicious, with healthy portions, and I was barely able to finish it. My wife's skillet was the complete opposite..bland potatoes which overtook the skillet, and brown pieces of avocado. I got my wife to ask for fresh avocado since she typically won't complain, she just won't eat it or go back. The waitress brought her another half of cut up avocado, and IT was half brown as well. I would've given higher scores if it was just my breakfast, if the waitress has brought out a suitable replacement, and if the restaurant was clean. However, there's nothing more unappealing than eating somewhere there are tons of dirty, old dishes and a lot of disconnects with service as well as quality issues with food. Hopefully they can get on track since I believe this is a fairly...
