First and finial visit due to what appeared as a racial encounter. We arrived a little before our reservation scheduled for 1600. Upon entering moments after an older white couple, whom was seated immediately. My cousin and I was instructed to wait. The greeter then went to the kitchen area, came back and then spoke to a male waiter with there backs turned towards us. She continued this behavior as if she was trying to find an available table. The facility was nearly empty. Once she was done, she returned with an excuse of "I'm just trying to find this customer who has a 3 o'clock reservation". My cousin responded "I called and made our reservation for 4 o'clock and it is 4 o'clock". After reading the room, the vibe was obviously off. On our initial encounter with the waitress, she arrived with water we didn't ask for. It did not appear to be fresh, due to the amount of ice and it being nearly melted. My cousin drank some of her's and stated "it tastes like tap water." We place our order for drinks and an appetizer. My cousin then realized the waitress didn't bring whatever bread that is customary. The appetizer was luke warm and it took the entree nearly an hour to receive and that was half cold as well. The food looked as if it was thrown onto the plate without care. My plate appeared to have skid markings of a color that did not match that of the food. My cousin whom has eaten at this establishment several times, suggested we go there for my birthday dinner, also had an image she took from a previous meal. We both ordered the same dish, which was also the dish in her photo. The entrees showed an obvious difference. We ordered the crab stuffed shrimp, with mashed potatoes and spinach. Not 5 minutes after we received the food, our waitress returned asking if it was alright. I scanned the room to notice that serveral of the staff was watching. We informed her it was not. I also made a statement "it seems as if this food had been sitting in the window for a while before it was brought out." The waitress claimed it had not been and just came off the grill. With consideration to the crowd being low, less than 10 people including ourselves, we ordered seafood (which doesn't take long to cook), there was a white couple whom sat down after us, ordered steak and received their meal before us. I came to conclusion that the waitress statement could not be true. My cousin asked for the manager, we informed him of the deficit. He arrived without wearing a mask and then offered to remake the orders. With all considered, I opted out and felt their food could not be trusted. The health department will be contacted in...
Read moreThis was our first time at Sedona’s. Normally I would give this restaurant a 5 star but I need to be completely honest. I brought my wife here for her birthday. We were sitting side by side trying to enjoy each others company and having a great conversation. The food was delicious and the service from the waiter was a little obsessive. The waiter was very friendly but needs to pick up on social cues. He continually checked back every few minutes while we were eating. I was just trying to enjoy our delicious meal and have and enjoy conversation with my wife. It was like he kept asking if everything was okay every 3 to 4 minutes. I just finally said, “Just trying to have some conversation with my wife!” Then he disappeared for a very long time. It was either he constantly came over as if he wanted to join our conversation but when we gave him a clue, he ghosted us! I eat out at a lot of restaurants and a good waiter or waitress should do the following. After the beverages are ordered and received, check in. When the food is received, after we take a few bites, check in. If our drinks need refilling, then refill them. If people are in a discussion, don’t try to join in. We came there to eat and enjoy each others company. Check with us if we want dessert. If we do, then deliver the dessert, then check back with our Check. Take my payment and then say it was nice of you to come in. I hope I see you again. But this did not happen this way. The waiter kept coming over way too much. It was an over kill and unless you personally know the people, even then a waiter should give them privacy and respect. I am commenting to offer improvement in your service to your customers. Hopefully this will be taken as constructive criticism. I did leave a 30% tip, which brought our meal up to just over $108, but unfortunately the waiter never came back to our table! So, we left after...
Read moreWorst restaurant experience ever!!! Bottom line is it’s dirty, the food was mediocre at best and the customer service was horrible. I arrived 7 mins late and the rest of the party was already waiting in the lobby. When my cousin went to ask the server how much longer, he was swatted at like a fly and told he was busy right now. That was enough for me to leave but it wasn’t my party. When we were finally seated, the table had multiple cloth napkins on floor underneath along with some food that had to be swept after we were already sitting. Mind you this restaurant charges an automatic gratuity and they had already made it clear they weren’t going to work for. The waitress was inattentive and really just acted as if she didn’t want to be bothered with us. The food took a very long time to come and when it did a few people in the party made remarks “about time”. This must’ve pissed the waitress off because they then sent the black waitress to “deal with us”. I thought she came to improve our experience but apparently she just came to put us in our place. She was rude and argumentative. When the manager came out I thought I’d express the issues with him but he was worse than the waitress. He wasn’t rude he just didn’t care at all. He didn’t hold them accountable for anything. Made it like we should understand because they are busy and further proceeded to tell me that they don’t seat people when they’re late. That let me know that they had an issue with us before we even seated. He had no intention of improving the customer service experience because again he doesn’t care. I’d be doing myself a disservice if I didn’t mention the racist undertone. My seafood pasta was good. Several other people said theirs was salty. The experience stressed me out so bad it took me months to be able to write...
