This place has got to be the WORST reviewed I've EVER seen. I went in and waited for someone to take my order at the counter this morning. There was only 1 other customer waiting on her order when I walked in the lobby. The two female employees that I could see "working" appeared to be only interested in themselves as they were both in the kitchen just talking to each other. I waited a little longer then just walked out and went across the street to Burger King. Ironically, the other customer that was in front of me ended up driving over to the Burger King as well. I'm not making this stuff up. I got my food from Burger King no problem.
During Covid, these workers were described as being "essential employees". Those that remained at their jobs, that is. After (not my) "Gubbamint" started its campaign of dropping "helicopter money", many of these "essential workers" departed the labor market once they realized they could make even more money sitting at home smoking weed & staying on their Playstation while "investing" in the Robinhood app. As a result, this "labor shortage" drove employers to "lower the bar" in their hiring process while at the same time increasing hourly wages to compete against a dwindling labor pool. They ended up getting "less for more".
Voila!!! And, this is how we arrive at our current experiences at this present day McDonald's. It's a hold over from a time gone past.
What those two females in that McDonald's kitchen this morning might not realize is that the economic environment has and is continuing to change in this country for the worse.
The CEO of McDonald's just came out this past week and, after reporting most recent Quarterly earnings, said he believes, based on sales, the McDonald's franchise has hit its "price ceiling". Customers aren't willing to pay any more higher prices than they already are and are forgoing certain items on the menu reflecting that trend.
In other words, the jig is up.
Why should patrons of a franchise continue to pay elevated prices to support overblown wages in exchange for horrible service and, in return, receive inferior products resulting from shrinkflation?
Do you know why the cheese hangs out from only one side of the Fish filet sandwich? Because they're only using half of a slice of cheese. They place it there so you'll see it while not realizing it's only a half a slice they've placed on their sandwich.
The American people are getting poorer and poorer every year. And, it's not going to get any better anytime soon. We're not in...
Read moreIt was the worst experience I have ever had with a mobile order. Was traveling with 4 teenagers. Did a mobile order. Web site said open 24 hours. Place order at 11:40 PM. Pushed I'm here. Went to pick up order. Doors locked and closes at 11:45. Paid for order online no food and no way to get my money back. Call restaurant next day to see to why. Manager to lie to me and say we were open and if an mobile order was placed we would have fixed it, because she closed that night. I then explained to the manager that I talked and asked one employee that was on the outside and she informed me that they was closed and I asked her how can I get my money back. She said I would have to call in the morning and talk to a manager. She returned back in the restaurant, lights then was turned off and 2 employees later returned exiting the restaurant before 12:00. Call restaurant next day and the manager begin to tell me a lie and so many words said I wasn't telling the truth. The manager then a few minutes later call me back and wanted to apologise. Offer to fix the food that I already paid for and had to do without that night traveling while passing through with 4 hungry teenagers. Then drove to the next open places that was open off the interstate was Auburn, Al. The only thing that was offered to me was my own food that I paid for and did not get the next time I come in. Now they want to give me my own food that I paid for and don't need any more. I was traveling and...
Read moreStopped here on the way back from Destin, FL yesterday. I must say I was little disappointed. I think it's several reason why we are not getting quality of service from pre-pandemic. Most places are understaffed, and the staff they have are either not trained well enough, or they are just trying to get anybody to come to work. With the being said We went inside and ordered a 6 piece nugget meal with sweet and sour sauce, and a fish filet with no tarter sauce, and no salt on the fries to go. We got the order, no sauce was in the back or ketchup. Get to the car, and the fish filet had tarter sauce on it. I took it back in, and the guy that took it from me told them to drop a new fish filet, and told me it would be about 2 minutes. But another worker brings me the one I guess that should have been given to me in the first place. When I got it, it seems the slice of cheese was placed at the edge. I used to work at McDonald's, and normally on the fish filet, it's a half of piece of cheese in the center. As you can see in the picture that was not the case. Please train the workers better, and encourage them to have pride in their work. When I used to work at McDonald's the minimum wage was like $3.75, but I never would let no customer get anything like this. I'm not going to give a bad rating, as I think this...
