Almighty Barbecue — Restaurant in Shreveport

If you are not paying attention, you will pass right by this lovely gem! My friend and I much enjoyed a chopped beef barbecue sandwich, with delicious potato salad and baked beans full of meat. Our two lunch special meals, which included a can drink for each of us came to just a little over $18. I defy anyone to find such a delicious meal, with such a wonderful family restaurant to have such fresh food in good quantity at that price in this, the last quarter of 2023. We also split a piece of peanut butter cake which took me back to my childhood days in Caddo parish schools. It was simply divine! I was glad to share it but I certainly kind of hated to a little bit LOL :-) Please go out of your way to find this wonderful establishment. They have a wonderful little cool dining room with several tables for four tops. And it's air conditioning is cool, js! It is Just north of Midway on Linwood avenue in Shreveport. Horrible food! I rarely review but this was a mess. $14.50 for a rib plate that I was told came with four ribs and a chop beef sandwich. The ribs are hard, tough, and over seasoned; and might I add that thier version of four ribs is two ribs cut up into shreads. The chopped beef sandwich was more like jerky and BBQ sauce. Omgoodness if I could rate lower I would. Waste of time and money. I called spoke to a guy who was sharing the conversation with other staff members and he was obviously the cook and told me "Oh yea thats more than four ribs they look like that cause they fallingbto pieces and tender" LIE he offered more ribs but I will NEVER spend my money...

Nope nope nope. This place should not serve barbecue. The potato salad has way too much mayo, the green beans have no flavor, the ribs so tough you couldn’t even bite them . The sausage was not grilled it’s boiled and laced with barbecue sauce. We asked for chop chicken and got over sauced chopped beef. I’m sorry I wanted to give this place good reviews but nope. Also when we walked in they were basically rushing us to order. We are from out of state and wanted to try some BBQ from Shreveport but never again will we go here.
