This is my honest out of towner review; My wife are from out of town just passing through, we saw this place and decided to stop in. And boy are we glad we did. We didn’t know what to think at first, it had this old homey, small town feel to it. I felt out of place but welcomed all at the same time. You walk up to the counter, order what you want, grab the drinks that are in the fridge, sit down where ever you want. They bring out the food to you, and you pay at the counter when your done eating. Everyone who we spoke to that worked there was absolutely amazing, respectful and all around great! We had the Muffy sandwich I believe it’s called, first time ever having it and WOW, it was amazing! We will definitely be coming back when we pass through again.

I found out about this restaurant through a Facebook page I follow. I thought, “How is there a historic place in Shreveport I have never heard of?!” So I set out to try their Muffy. The place is nostalgic with its decor and history. I love the paint job and the matching strips in the parking lot. I also liked that I could feed two people lunch for $24. The service was quick, there is plenty of room to sit, and it is pretty clean inside. The bad news is I didn’t care for the little sandwich with the cheap meat on it. I’m used to a massive muffuletta where I have to take some home. It was the first one I had that had mustard on it and that was the best part of it. I honestly left wanting a bigger muffy! I can see elderly people going here for year and years and it being there favorite place to go. It has elderly peoples’ hours too. I appreciate the atmosphere and the vibes the place gives I just want a bigger and better muffuletta experience myself.

It may be a local landmark, but this restaurant has seen better days. Drinks stored in residential refrigerators in the dining room. The "muffie" that makes them famous is a sad couple slices of meat surrounding a meager slice of cheese and stuffed to the gills with olive slices. It sounded good in theory, but reality was way below expectations. The most appetizing thing I ate was a bag of store bought potato chips.

This is the worst sandwich I have ever paid for. Its,a bologna sandwich folks. How do people review this as anything but. We threw away most of it cause it was awful. I've been to New Orleans and this does not add up. Stop thinking this is good cause it sucks. The location and story are good, but the food is terrible.
