Atmosphere is great, besides outside patio should have been where the parking lot is at, and parking lot should have been on the highway side, so noise at patio wouldn't bother much due to busy highway but hey, excellent patio setup, modern and artistic inside. Nice parking spot, wheelchair accessible and kids friendly!
Cleanliness lacks, styrofoam water cups all came dirty, lots of black marks and hoping they weren't mold! Floor had some crumbs before we got there but it's fine, servers having huge long fake nails and you can imagine what could have been stored in those nail backs, as their fingers were in some plates when holding and serving!!! They need a manager with particularly focusing on these points.
Professionalism, food came in couple waves as we were crowded but after first 4 plates came in and while half wasn't served for 10mins, we have been asked how was everything and if we were missing something, uh yeah, half the order obviously, so no track of orders and status checks.
Location, great and easy access right on major highway, if you arw traveling thru it's an easy access.
Food, this is where it gets worse unfortunately, we wanted this to be win win, especially seeing pics and reviews we had high hopes, tells me that reviews were either fake, paid or people who eat/ate here had no better experience or palate to make the right judgement, we are obviously foodies and couldn't hurt any worse than this; Too much grease, Too bland of a flavor, Overly cooked bacons were like rubber, Sunnyside up eggs game too easy, i could pick out the embryo from the egg, raw raw raw, Pancakes greatly fluffy and cooked, but tasting grease and shrimp did tell me that they use same pan/flat iron for everything without cleaning in between different foods, Also, change the oil, it has heavy vegetable flavor, canola if it's that change to a better brand or use butter only, better flavor and no vegetable ir fishy taste on every meal, Waffles were the same way, tasted shrimpy, Shrimp and grits had no grits almost, loads of cream with two small shrimp on top, where is the grits?? More like a crits as heavy in cream. Potatoes, country potatoes with Louisiana humidity, they were soggy and mushy inside, like almost 4 weeks rotten potatoes were cooked to serve.
Overall, we don't live around here so thankfully not the only option for us, but i feel bad for such a great place where they can easily shine with better management and chefs, rather failing in an excellent spot! Would we come back, unfortunately i wouldn't and i wouldn't recommend, unless next year when i come by if i see the changes made to correct the taste at least!
Sad and hurtful as we wanted to enjoy this...
Read moreToday was the first time to try some where new other than Another Broken Egg. My party of 4's entire experience fell apart real fast. After waiting 20-25 minutes for a table to open up, we are seated and greeted with a short wait to get our drinks ordered. Our waitress says she would bring back straws but never did.
I ordered a spiked coffee which was disappointing. It had the taste of an americano with cinnamon and no hint of alcohol what so ever. I do not like my spiked coffee watered down. After we got our drinks, a longer wait to order food came. Longer than the wait for a table of 4 to open. There were no gluten free menu items for my wife.
Next, the QR codes on the physical menu did not exist so have fun with figuring out the password. Nor should I have to find a work around to see the menu once there in person. The physical menu was filled the food options that you could make at home. (Also, the first option of combread waffles was misspelled. Go have a good laugh. It is correct else where on the menu. Cornbread vs Combread.) My friend's meal was the chicken and waffles and the chicken wings were forgotten.
Know what else was forgotten? Our waitress. She did not check on us to see how our meal was going or come by to check on us. Never asked about our experience. You know who your frequent flyers are. You know who is a new face.
I will admit though. For what I got off the menu, the french toast with maple butter glaze, that had 8 pieces of french toast. Good price for the amount of food. My eggs were perfect for sunny side up.
We were not impressed. Seeing other people's reviews, I am glad y'all did enjoy your time and meal here. I cannot say my experience...
Read moreThe staff was wonderful, and the place was very cozy. Though it was very obvious that they've just opened recently and we're still trying to figure out what they need to do. The wait was long, but we didn't realize we need to go up to the bar to get added to the wait list since everyone else was just lined up at the door. Once seated the service was also very slow, despite us being there past close. I generally don't mind slow service for quality fresh food, but after waiting over an hour to be seated and another hour before getting the food without a drink in hand is pretty bad. The food itself was tasty, some more than others. The grits looked wonderful but we're fairly bland. The real winner for me was the chicken, and the sauce that they made for it. The price is fairly high for things like pancakes and eggs, but it's not too expensive. Just don't plan to fill up. If you're just after a delightful snack to hold you over until lunch, then this place is perfect. As always, with return trips I will keep this review updated to change for better or for worse. But at the moment with the kinks of being freshly open, prices on the higher side for serving size, and no refills on basic drinks; I'm going to have to say just under four stars. Easily can be four with a bit of adjustment. Maybe even five once they hit their stride and work out all the kinks. Not the worst first experience, not...
