King Kone — Restaurant in Shreveport

One of Shreveport’s best kept secrets, that shouldn’t remain a secret! All the food they offer is top tier. My favorites are the turkey necks and chicken salad, both are the best I’ve ever had in my 30 years of life. I can’t say enough good about the owner and employees, they’re all very inviting and answer any and all questions! I had a good conversation with King after I purchased some turkey necks and he sampled me the chicken salad and I am HOOKED. I was running low on cash that day so I didn’t purchase a drink, but it was hot out and I was eating my food on my motorcycle in the parking lot and a young man who works there, musta seen on my face I needed it, brought me out a beverage. If I could give 10 stars I would. 🌟 I pulled up, their sign said turkey legs, smoked chicken salad. Ribs. I said ill take one of each. He said ribs ain't done yet(😫💀) so I said 2 turkey legs and a smoked chicken salad. Now the turkey legs were awesome... but let me tell it, that chicken salad was perfection!👌💯 Every bite had every flavor and it was just the right consistency, perfectly deboned, chilled, a flavored with so much love and Louisiana that I have to have it again... and I'm going this week, so I looked it up, (thanks google street view). My little friend and I went and got a couple hurricanes and sat at the closed down ampm and ate and drank and watched some guy with a mic and an amp try to tell people about how the moon knows their name and the sun needs them to shine. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr King of King Kone today. I drove by the lil shack and the turkey leg sign caught my eye...I gave them call, about 1045a, they weren't open yet, but said give'em 10 min. He called back, told me to come on over.... he said turkey legs weren't ready yet but he had turkey wings and, necks.. and the best chicken salad I've ever had.. SO, today, I had the best chicken salad I ever had. It was packaged in a new hefty reusable bowl and came with a sleeve of crackers that will last me all weekend.
