It's a staple in the community, and you can know exactly what it's like by any diner in any movie. The only difference would be smoking inside, which is no longer allowed for many years now. Walking into this place always makes me feel like I'm in an old movie, they close at 3:00 p.m. And they open... I want to say at 6:00 a.m. they have daily specials for each of the days of the week, printed on the menu, and innumerable variations of breakfast items you can combine in any way you want. Plenty of entrees like chicken, fried steak and pork chops, as well as a whole slew of burgers, and your standard drink list. The clientele is mostly of a retirement age, and yet the time it takes to order, receive the food, eat it, and leave is probably one of the shortest in the city. There's only typically two, maybe three at most waitresses and it's a small area for the dining. Everyone basically knows everyone by name, so there's a homey feeling to the restaurant , becoming more like your aunt's dining room. There are a lot of police officers that frequent This establishment, take that whichever way you take it. I'd do recommend this place, though. You should be foreigned that it's standard food at reasonable prices with quick service. So it's not five star meals. But the quality is Good, it's not pre-frozen pre-packaged nonsense. I was calling an order for take out and the service was horrible even just starting with the phone call. I was ordering food for myself and my family and the lady on the phone cut me off after the first thing I ordered and hung up when I wasn’t even finished or didn’t imply at all that I was finished ordering. Then when I call back to complete the order, she was rushing me through my whole order so I couldn’t even tell if she was listening or getting it right and then when I was finished ordering I was told no wait time or even how much my order costs. Then skip to picking it up, we went through the drive thru because I have an ankle injury and I figured it’d be easier, and the lady at the window was extremely rude. And closed the window on me immediately after handing me my food without asking me if I need anything else and without even handing me my drinks as we also ordered 2 sweet teas. She immediately walked away from the window very irritably after she closed it so I had to wait another minute or two at the drive thru window before she returned and had a bad attitude about giving me my drinks. I had a $10 tip for that lady that I was going to give her after she came back with our drinks originally but I put it up as soon as she slammed that door in my face. Food was trash. This place offers complete breakfast,lunch or diinner. The food is home cooked wonderful. The breakfasts are served all day. They have ready to order featured meals different in variety every day including Sunday. They offer 3 choices of entrees And you may choose 3 veggies from about a dozen each day.Their turnip greens and fried squash are my favorites. But with a dozen or more to choose 3 from. You get your faves.dessert is choice of 5 different pies. I highly recommend the Peanutbutter pie lucious and so delicious, Make sure you eat your tasty meal first. There is inside dining and the service is good,but I love to take mine home! Because the generous portions usually are my lunch and supper. The drive through is amazingly quick and accurate.
