Having frequented Roessler's Restaurant on eight separate occasions over the span of several years, I had hoped for an improvement in my recent visit. Unfortunately, my latest experience reaffirmed my disappointment in this establishment.

Let's start with the food, which left much to be desired. The dishes seemed to have been plucked straight from a nursing home menu – bland, uninspired, and lacking any semblance of freshness. The pre-made vegetables were particularly egregious, resembling nothing of their original form and devoid of any discernible taste. It's disheartening to witness such lackluster culinary efforts in a town where vibrant local produce should be celebrated.

Adding insult to injury was the poor service. Our waiter was not only brusque but also displayed a shocking lack of hygiene. I was appalled when he carelessly handled my cocktail garnish with his bare hands, completely disregarding basic sanitary practices. This blatant disregard for customer comfort and safety is inexcusable.

The ambiance of the main dining room mirrored the overall sentiment of the restaurant – sad. Despite being situated in a beautiful location, Roessler's fails to capitalize on its potential due to its outdated decor and lack of ambiance-enhancing elements. With a fresher, more innovative menu and some thoughtful interior updates, this space could truly shine.

One of the most glaring issues was the repetitive nature of the menu. Every dish seemed to feature the same tired selection of canned vegetables, further highlighting the restaurant's reliance on convenience rather than quality ingredients.

In conclusion, my recent visit to Roessler's Restaurant was nothing short of disappointing. As a long-time local resident, I had hoped for a dining experience that would showcase the best of our town's culinary offerings. Unfortunately, Roessler's fell far short of this mark. Unless significant improvements are made, I cannot in good conscience recommend this...

Celebrating our wedding anniversary, we were in search of something better than the usual fare in our area. What a pleasure to find this restaurant. Just yards away from the bustle of Hwy 41, we found ourselves transported to what I would call old school quality. The restaurant is on the grounds of a former estate and the feeling driving up the entry is that you are coming into something special. The interior seemed clean and nicely appointed, with neatly folded napkins placed at each guest table. We arrived at 5 pm. Guests gradually filled the rooms--but it was blissfully quiet for the hour and a half we were there. Our table overlooked a pond with fountain and a charming footbridge. The waitstaff glided through their duties in the way you expect in a classy operation. Our waiter Mark was excellent. One immediately noticed his clean and neat appearance--even freshly shined shoes. He was excellent throughout the meal--attentive without hovering or rushing us. Food was excellent. Vichyssoise and salmon couturie--savory and delicious. My wife had the chicken Francaise which she loved (except for especially salty capers on top). I had steak Diane in a sumptous glace with mushrooms and perfectly prepared tornadoes. Dessert was a wicked parfait of Hagen-Dazs ice cream rolled in brittle and sitting atop a shot of orange liquer. Do you want to escape the cacaphony and ordinariness of most venues in our area? Rosessler's will fit the bill. But recommend you go early if you'd rather not have the inveterate whooping and talkers that seem to appear after 7 around...

After my mother's funeral service, our family and friends gathered at Roessler’s for a meal. During such a challenging time, the care and attentiveness of the staff made all the difference. From the moment we arrived, they were sensitive to our needs, offering a quiet and comfortable space for our group to gather and reflect.

The food was exceptional, with every dish thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. It provided a comforting touch during a day filled with emotion. The service was impeccable, with staff being both discreet and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive.

What truly stood out was the atmosphere—calm, respectful, and warm. It was clear that the team understood the significance of the moment for us and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.

We are deeply grateful for the experience and would highly recommend Roessler’s to anyone looking for a place that combines excellent food with genuine care and understanding. Thank you for providing a moment of peace and comfort during a...

Remember going out to a nice dinner with friends prior to 2020? Great conversation in a quiet friendly formal setting where the hours rush by as your group is feted with stellar cuisine and world class service. I had almost forgotten the sublime experience of dining (versus eating)…until Roessler’s last night. Leave your flip flops at home. No Buffet music, $28 “grouper” sandwiches, $8 frozen rum runners or amateur hour waitstaff at this long time establishment. Instead get ready to have your culinary mind blown with a $33 New Orleans style crispy duckling and perfectly prepared “can’t find it anywhere” Steak Diane. Wash it down with a crazy good value wine list. All served to you by a professional waiter. Herbert was knowledgeable, friendly and seemingly anticipated our every need. Even if the dishes were subpar, the evening would have been special due to his world class service expertise. Many Thanks Roessler’s for a much needed expectation reset of what it means to dine out with friends.

Excellent high end restaurant with a romantic garden setting. Started with Sazerac or dinner drink. Skipped the appetizer. Proceeded to a Ceasar Salad with anchovie fillets added. For the main course I ordered veal scallopine, picatta style. They also offer a marsala style. Had a Super Tuscan wine by the glass with the main course. The main dish was accompanied by beets, mashed potatoes, cooked carrots and creamed spinach. All appropriately proportioned. My companion ordered the Steak Diane. The filet medallions were prepared medium and were tender and flavorful. For dessert the Dark Chocolate Flourless Terrine was served accompanied by the Ramos Pinto LBV 2008 Port. Overall a wonderful setting and meal.

Excellent food and super service from Julie. She anticipated our needs and was right there. My wife hade the small filet and it was perfect for her. The selection of vegetables with the entree were great. I had the duck and was done enough so that it wasn't greasy. I prefer an orange sauce but the ?raspberry sauce that it came with was still good. The martini was just right. We both had the parfait dessert. Unfortunately the alcohol content was too high for my wife. We were seated at a window next to the garden as I requested. The noise level was a little higher than I like but not bothersome.
