Mistakes happen and thats understandable, as Ive worked in restaurants. It is a demanding job working in this restaurant in particular and in my opinion they should have never added the drive thru as an ordering option. I walked in not too busy, used the restroom, and as soon as I sat down to look at the app I heard the employees saying theres "no more bacon". Another lady was already waiting for her sandwich to get substituted for the bacon. I ordered the "carribean jerk chicken wrap" to go as I had not had it before, got back to my car, took 2 bites only to find out the rice was COLD! Ugh... So I go back in and try to exchange for another sandwich comparable to the price and chose my classic favorite "chipotle chicken club wrap" about $1 cheaper. They couldn't refund any portion without a manager present and so I asked about a free cookie and the guy working the counter taking orders and making smoothies had no problem with that and was great at taking my order, my complaint and simply trying to get a newly made sandwich. The guy working there said he had only been there a month as I asked about any new sandwiches. A lady who spoke spanish was making all of the sandwiches at that time, there were only two employees there at that time when I first ordered. A newer employee (younger lady) showed up and was then helping make sandwiches but still learning the ingredients of each kind. The second sandwich I received as an exchange was very disappointing and after about 20 minutes of waiting when I was already starving, I walked back to my car to sit and I ate what appeared to be a "chicken bacon ranch" flatbread wrap with ranch dressing but received a cup of chipotle sauce in a container! In this flatbread wrap there obviously was NO bacon because the employees already knew they had no BACON and then the chicken was COLD! (but not ice cold) I only walked from the restaurant to my car as I was going to eat in the parking lot. There was a party of three people with sandwiches being made so I had to wait extra. I spoke to the table next to me and one of those customers received just turkey and cheese on her sandwich when there was supposed to be tomatoes and lettuce at least but she did not want to deal with the hassle of an exchange:( It seemed at this point that the Spanish lady making the sandwiches was either not understanding basic things or not trying on how to make the sandwiches correctly. Still I'm not sure who would like cold rice on a wrap, that's kind of a big mistake when everything else was hot! There was frustration between the employees that needs to be resolved for all of the customer's sake. The other table I spoke with said their food was mostly just okay:/ I was just passing through the area this time, I hope a future visit will be better. Read moreAt first I loved tropical. But the recent staff is messy. I place my online orders so I don’t have to wait. Today I waited 15 mins after the initial time it was suppose to be ready. An employee proceeded to make smoothies when my food was sitting behind the counter and I was waiting- after already speaking up that I had a to go order. Furthermore, it’s shameful that you pay for “extra chicken” yet the amount inside the flatbread changes each time. Don’t you think there should be some sort of constant? One time I got little to no chicken on my flatbread when I clicked extra, then the next I got so much, then today it’s a small amount again. It just concerns me because it seems very messy. It’s not like you’re paying $4 for this food- you’re paying over $10+, and paying for extra things and it’s not even done properly. I’ve been patient with this specific tropical but the constant new employees and the inability to be consistent in their food steers me far from this place. Read morePlaced an order, arrived for pickup in drive-thru, waited at the window for several minutes before anyone came to the window, then they asked me to pull forward while they make my order (which should have been done according to the time-frame on the app). I park in the designated spot, and watched as people went in and out getting their orders. Finally the guy came out but had the wrong order. He gave the drink to the right person, then came back and was "ok what did you want"....i told him again, but this time went inside with him. He said he didnt have the ingredients for that smoothie and to pick something else. So by this point, it's been over 20 minutes since my order should have been ready, and this guy is just now telling me they are out of ingredients. So very frustrating.
