Havertys Never Disappoints! I have been a Customer of Havertys for years. This was my first time ever visiting this location; I just moved from North Carolina where I am from. First week of February I secured a place over in Lakewood Ranch/Sarasota. I even delayed my move date so I would give myself time to order and have new furniture delivered. After having been to 3 different furniture stores, not having any luck and not given the time of day by any of those sales people I walked in the Havertys. I was warmly greeted by Larry. I told him what I needed which was everything! And mid conversation I saw the exact same sofa I had purchased the year prior and then sold with my house during that closing back in November. I ran over to it jumped in and said Larry I’ll take this! After about 45 minutes finding a bed frame, a mattress and box springs Larry had my order processed! (In the 2 weeks that followed I added two additional pieces to my order) Larry is a good communicator and I like him! He is efficient at trying to get his customers the best price and is very easy-going. I will mention if you try and call him when he is with other customers be patient. He likes to give the people or person in front of him all of his attention. I know because I called many times and Larry was busy 90% of that. I would have ordered 2 or 3 more pieces if I could have had all of his attention on the phone. That is OK because I will be calling him to order the additional items. He is thorough and he will call you and let you know the Status of everything. I will mention the day I walked in he also brought out the I house designer and she was lovely! Even when I was adding additional items to my order that I have not actually seen in person both of them were extremely helpful! Great Job Larry and Havertys! You earn my business time...

My father purchased furniture from this location because it wasn't available at the store closest to him. He was told to come in on Monday to pick up the items, so he paid to rent a trailer and drove an hour there to pick it up. Once he arrived, the store manager, I believe her name is Sharon, told him he couldn't take it because there was no one there to help load it and she wanted her delivery crew guys to take it apart and wrap it up and help load it. She told them to come back on Wednesday and they'd have it ready to load with guys there to help. She even called him back later to confirm again that he would be there at 815 Wednesday morning, and assured him the guys would be there to help load it. When he arrived Wednesday morning, he was told there was "no one to help, so good luck". This would be beyond frustrating, not to mention completely unprofessional, in itself - however, my father is not in the best health, he is a transplant recipient, and on oxygen. I am appalled at how these interactions took place, and by the complete lack of organization, communication, and decency. Not only did he waste money on gas, and renting a trailer, but wasted his time. He was also put into respiratory distress because he had to overexert himself to load very heavy furniture with no assistance from your staff. You should be ashamed...

First of all let me say that the quality of our furniture is exceptional. Why 3 stars, because we are highly disappointed about the outcome of our service. We have had our furniture for only 48 hours, and we were discussing the very light color. We then realized we did not have the protection plan even though we asked the cost. We purchased the furniture over the phone the next day, because we had to remeasure the space to assure it would fit. In our excitement to order the furniture we did not realize we were not asked if we wanted to include the protection plan. We called to ask if we could get the plan and we're told no, it was too late. When we asked why we were not offered the plan we were told it is available to everyone, and you can go buy a can of scotch guard. Never have we purchased furniture, cars, or appliances where the sales associate did not ask us of we wanted a protection plan. On top of everything our furniture was delivered to the store and not our house. The delivery driver notified us of this the day my husband waited for the delivery.
