Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Sikeston

My boyfriend and I decided to go grab dinner. Now, I will say yes, it is Valentine’s Day so we already knew it was more than likely to be very busy. Once we pulled into the parking lot, we instantly knew it was packed. Thus, we decided to order on the app instead of going in. We placed our order at 7:45pm and just killed time until about 8:01pm. At 8:01pm, we decided to go back to the restaurant so we could get ready to get our food, which the app said would be 8:05pm. Now, I know, it’s Valentine’s Day. We already knew we were probably going to wait for a little bit longer, totally fine and totally understandable. I’ve worked as a server at another local restaurant in the same town on this holiday for the past three, consecutive years. We pulled into the carry out parking space, next to another customer parked too. They got their food probably 10 or so minute after we arrived. My boyfriend and I had our windows cracked and when the woman brought their food, she was so sweet and apologized for their wait. However, when our food FINALLY arrived at 8:43pm, the woman who brought our food out wasn’t so nice. She looked like she was possibly a manager. She had short, either brown or darkish red/brown hair, kind of spiked up. She also had pink acrylic(I assume) nails and a pink and white stripped shirt on. After she gave me the receipt to sign, she told us “Just so you know, once it’s after dark, we don’t bring food out just for our safety”, handed our food to us and left. WHAT? We didn’t even have time to react to what she said because we were just taken back. IT TOOK ALMOST AN HOUR FOR AN ONLINE ORDER! I 100% know what it’s like to work as a server in a restaurant on one of the busiest nights there are. I GET IT. But what I don’t understand is why SHE WAS RUDE. I am all for safety, please do not get me wrong. Totally understandable. But why could she have not been like the one who brought out the customer before us? I’m not saying she had to apologize or anything, we knew it wasn’t her fault nor anyone else’s, but a simple nice attitude would have been great. I’ve worked in customer service based job since I’ve been able to work and not once have I ever treated a customer like that. Also, the food was without a doubt cold and did not taste the greatest. Horrible service!!!!! Went with a group of friends for dinner, Ordered chips and queso dip, the queso dip was cold so i asked for it to be warmed up nicely. My friends ordered medium steaks! One Shrimp Parmesan and One Regular Steak! Both of the steaks were raw so they asked for the steaks to be remade, the waitress took the regular steak and then proceeded to take the shrimp parmesan and realized it has shrimp, and informed up of her allergy and that she would have someone come take the steak with shrimp, no problem we understand completely, NO ONE comes to get the Shrimp Parmesan steak, instead they made the regular steak into another Shrimp Parmesan Steak and so my friend who order the regular steak had to wait even longer for their food. They asked us how we would like our checks, still no regular steak, so my friend asked to have their steak order cancelled and the waitress said “NOT MY CALL LET ME TALK TO MY MANAGER” so we finally get our checks, they brought my friend the steak in a to go box, even after being asked to cancel the order, and tried to get my friend to pay for it. my friend asked to speak to the Manager and the Store manager came and instead of listening to the complaint and trying to fix the issues, she told us to leave because “we have been complaining since we came in” and told us to leave before she called the cops just because we were telling her about our horrible experience!!!! Me and my company showed up at Applebee's around 7:30. Ask for the corner of large corner booth and the server purposely set us at a four top, She didn't want to serve us particularly so we had to have a server from that section. Move us back to the larger booth and then it took her forever to bring us our drinks. Once you did, it took her forever to get out with her and the place was not busy. I used to work at this Applebee's I remember when service was done a lot different when we did order, the only food that looked appealing or appetizing was the youngest person at the tablespoon. I have boneless wings that look like the crumbs out of the bag. The chicken quesadillas had no filling no items missing from the orders. We had to ask for a certain thing as multiple times never got offer refills chips for stale, we ordered a boneless wings, quesadillas chips and queso a. Sampler chicken tender platter chicken alfredo along with drinks the and for the first time I can honestly say that Cape Girardeau's Applebee's has out done another restaurant restaurant because because comparing the two I would definitely go back to Cape Girardeau before I eat at sikeston's Applebee's again no garnish on the drinks.
