EDIT Oct. 18th: Added photos of menu and takeout menu. Still come here, especially when I'm sick since it is super healthy and makes me feel 1000x better. Alright sit down kiddos and buckle up so I can give you the lowdown on this place: ************* -The FOOD? = Phenomenal. Bowls of Pho (pronounced "fuh" as in this is pho-king good) are huge. Don't like pho? Don't fret! Rice, shrimp, sirloin, vegetables, etc are all cooked perfectly. If you are of Asian descent and a bit homesick, you'll be pleased with the preparation here -- my friends and I have left happy every time. -Never had pho or know a lot about Vietnamese food? Come here anyway! They actually have pictures of 90% of the menu on the walls and within the menu. You'll know what it looks like before you even order it. Many food options for a variety of palettes (including fries and chicken for children). -SERVICE = Yes, this is what all other reviews have commented on. This is a family-run restaurant. No, you won't get a waitress who will ask what you thought of the latest sports game on tv. You're going to get a cute little Asian lady of few words. I kid you not -- she's going to come to the table with a notepad and silently wait until you order...Don't take this negatively, just be ready to go and understand she wants to get out your food as soon as possible! In many other cultures this is how "food service" is run -- I don't even know her name and she's doing great. All the workers can speak English well though, so don't be afraid to ask questions or ask for something if necessary. -PRICE = very reasonable/cheap. Each bowl of Pho in included pictures were only ~$8-9 plus additions on the other plate. It's huge. Trust me. Everything else is within this price range too. Appetizers are ~$3-4 as well. -SPEED = quick. No matter how many people have been with me, appetizers are ready within 7 minutes and everyone's food is at the table within 15. These are moreso max times, of course. ********** TL,DR; Just go there and try the food already! Get a bowl of Pho and live out your dreams of living in an anime!

This place used to be great. Was a longtime fan of Pho Quynh having lived in this neighborhood for 10+ years. Hadn’t had it in over a year & just recently ordered pickup. Admittedly this wasn’t what I usually go here for, I usually get Pho & spring rolls, & in the past those had been great. But I ordered egg rolls(#1, $5.75) instead of spring rolls & the Special Combination Noodle Soup(#34, choice of egg, rice, or udon noodles with seafood, pork, “and more”, $13.95). What I got was nothing like what I’ve received from this place over a year ago. The “egg rolls” were so burnt to a crisp that they literally had pure grease oozing out of the shell. & worse yet it was black instead of amber, as if the grease hadn’t been changed forever. The soup was beyond disappointing. The seafood was sparce, I couldn’t identify any pork unless it was hidden inside 2 small dumplings, & as far as I can tell the use of the word “more” in the description can only apply under the belief that “less is more”. The scantness of the broth’s ingredients could’ve been compensated for in sheer volume considering it was noodle soup after all, but even the mere volume of broth itself was disappointing. I don’t know what happened to this place between now and a year ago, but its not the same anymore. ☹ I don’t know if I can go back now, but I’m definitely never paying for something before I see it again.

The Pho was clearly made by a Vietnamese person and it was authentic (Almost as good as LA CA). The broth is rich, the meat portions were a little light (one of each type of meat). The tendon was tender and juicy. The Tripe and sirloin were delicious. The meatball could be skipped all together. Nice atmosphere and clean. The service is what I would expect from a Vietnamese woman who works 7 days a week probably close to 365 days a year. It is good the plates are made to take a beating. Come for the Pho, give grace to the server and you should have an enjoyable meal. I had the fried pork and it was over fried and almost burnt. I would say just skip that too. P.S. if you want good authentic food in LA you look for the joints that have 3.5-4 star ratings and the service is a little rough.

If there's one thing that potential patrons need to understand before going here, it's that Vietnamese culture deeply respects the time and privacy of their customers. For this reason, the servers rarely interrupt you while you are eating and very few words are shared between you and the staff. Their goal is to give you a great meal that you can enjoy while allowing you to dine on your own time.

This restaurant is a quaint little place that serves authentic vietnamese dishes and, from what I can tell, has been owned/operated by the same vietnamese family for generations. I'd heard bad things about this restaurant for years and was quite hesitant to check it out as a result. People said the service sucked, the staff was distant and the server refused to talk to anyone that was not vietnamese.

Still, in an effort to stay close to home and try something new, my husband and I decided to give the restaurant a try. (also because I'd been wanting to try authentic pho for years but never took the leap.)

It was the best decision we'd ever made. The food was not only excellent, but the "inattentiveness" that the previous patrons warned of was right up our alley. We said thank you every time we were served (drinks, silverware, food...etc), and every time, the server, a small vietnamese woman in blue scrub-like clothes and slippers, would nod quickly and walk away. Never once did she or the food server speak to us. Honestly, we like it that way.

I don't like being rushed to decide my order. I don't like being talked to in the middle of chewing a mouthful of beef sirloin and rice noodles. I don't like having to say the food is good because I assume my eating without complaint will show that. I don't need you to ask to refill my drink - just do it. And, as weird as it may be, I don't expect a "you're welcome" when I say Thank You. I am expressing gratitude because I felt it and you earned it, not because I need you to reassure me that it was received.

The vietnamese culture (and the staff of this restaurant) clearly understands this dining mentality, and for this I am grateful. This is one of the many reasons I return.

There's water in abundance that they refill multiple times while you eat, otherwise you can get a can of soda with a glass of ice. They have photos of some of their main dishes on the walls which makes it easy to see a potential food choice before ordering it. My husband and I have NEVER been disappointed with the quality of food here.

This is literally a "shut up and take my money" kind of experience that I love. I'd eat there every day, for every meal, if I had the $$ for it. It's an antisocial heaven of restaurants.

If you're thinking about trying it, don't hesitate! You will not be disappointed (so long as you understand the type of service you'll receive.)

I cannot say enough good things about this...

Worst dinning experience ever. Would give 0 star if it was allowed on this app. The rudest, ill mannered, and most impolite customer service I have ever had. Soon as we entered, we were not asked to be seated. Instead o asked her. She took us to a table, threw the menus and walked away. I said thank you , but no reply. She brought water with ice, (didn’t even asked if we needed one—actually I was thinking to ask for warm water coz it was cold outside), I said thank you again. She didn’t respond and walked away. After few minutes, she came to take our order. By then, I thought she doesn’t speak or may be donot understand English. I ordered, item 26–soup with Chicken, Pork, and Egg. My friend ordered item no 27. After half an hour she came with soups. To my surprise she brought soup with beef (I don’t eat beef). I asked her I didn’t order this one. She said you ordered item 27 and 28 ( 28 was soup with beef). I didn’t. I ordered 26 because I don’t eat beef. She argued. Her voice was loud. Other customers could see us. Felt embarrassed. She walked away. She came back after a while and asked if she wanted to change the order. I said yes and got soup with chicken. No sooner we started eating she came with receipt, put on table and walked away. She was staring at me while she was walking. One of the most disturbing and disgusting experience I have ever had in my life. The food was...
