Five Guys — Restaurant in Sioux Falls Township

On Saturday September 8th we parked at "5 Guys" 121 S Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104, around 10:00 am. The parking lot was almost empty. We went to the event that was in the streets downtown to see what the vendors had to offer. We came back around 11:30 am intending to get something to eat - only to find our vehicle was gone. The staff at "5 Guys" had our vehicle Towed across town because we parked and left our vehicle in their parking lot while we checked out the vendors in the streets while waiting for "5 Guys" to open. They opened up at 11 am, but we didn't get there until close to 11:30 am. We were from out of town and without a vehicle and after calling the Towing place we were told we couldn't get the vehicle for the rest of the day. We complained and the Towing company changed their mind and said we could come around 4 pm to get the vehicle. There was a $200.00 Towing charge. Can you believe that. The Staff at "5 Guys" was extremely rude. The staff at "5 Guys" said there were signs posted all over, (we did not see any signs except - 2 signs that read "for compact cars only", so we parked in a spot with no sign. When we confronted "5 Guys" about our car they had said we were there since 8 am (which was untrue - I live in MN and didn't even get into Sioux Falls until after 9:30 am) and that we parked under a sign (which again was untrue because there were not signs above where we parked). I went out and looked for the signs after talking with the unreasonable staff only to find 4 signs on tall poles around the perimeter of the parking lot at about 8 to 10 feet high. Definitely not eye level like the "compact car signs". The tall signs read that customers have 1 hour and 50 minutes to park while they eat. We got back 30 minutes after they opened - we still had an hour and twenty minutes to eat. That is how they treated their customers that "could have been"! We ended up eating at "Pickle Barrel"...

The food tastes great! This is the only Pro!

Cons:

I just recently discovered Bite Squad and I have tried them since discovering them only twice and only had the pleasure of trying burgers and fries which are super over priced so that’s the first con.

The food doesn’t come in combos only individual items so no savings.

I’ve tried to order and get familiar with their menu but Five Guys will go “offline” periodically and you can’t order via the delivery service but their store is open. This is a huge bummer and it’s a horrible way to gain and keep new customers with this type of inconsistency. So out of 5 times that I attempted to place an order in the last month, I’ve only been able to place and order 2 times because they decided to not service their customers via the delivery service!

I’m not a fan of Food Dudes so much that I deleted my account due to messed up orders and no solutions. I thought I had a new favorite delivery service but I guess not! I’ll have to go to my indoor grill and call it a day! I’ll be looking for burger recipes if anyone has suggestion!

In my opinion, Five Guys don’t appreciate all their customers if they are shutting down service for a select group although they are open and operating. I’m not open to further doing business with Bite Squad for this reason. They should demand more consistency from their partners for...

Massive shout out to the sweet guys working tonight at Five Guys on Minnesota! We arrived twenty minutes to close to order burgers and fries as a birthday dinner after a long night of parent teacher conferences. While the amazing staff could have been put out or annoyed to have an order so close to closing, they were instead welcoming, patient and kind and had our to go order made to perfection in no time! Not only that, but this is, by far, the cleanest burger place I’ve ever visited! The bathrooms were sparkling clean, the tables were perfect and even the floor and open kitchen were spotless after a long day! When we apologized to the staff for ordering so late, they were so sweet and told us they appreciated our business and they hope we come again soon!
