Pretty store but service variable based on servers personal persuasions.
I lived in big cities and small towns across America. Living first in big cities my thought about Starbucks was that it was a modern day Cheers bar - friendly, inclusive and if you went often enough, they knew your name. This store has obviously not subscribed to this. Arriving to.pick up my mobile order 2nd day in a row to an nearly empty store, I noted that the girl at the register had not excuse for not.returning my smiling good morning. Shrugging I went to get my mobile order at the usual spot, and saw only my sandwich there. So Istood at the empty counter, waited for a bit got any of the employees to acknowledge my presence, then when it was obvious that that was not gonna happen called out for assistance. The guy who had been pleasantly ignoring me came over and I indicated I was waiting on my drink to computer the mobile order. He then looked at me and said "You didn't get your drink" even looking behind me as if I could hide it. I indicated that I had just arrived, had form not even a good morning from anyone and would like my drink. He turns to the same girl who had ignored my earlier greeting...yes she knew she had prepare the order without the drink and instead of dealing with me just a few feet away, had chosen to pretend I was not there. The day before I had excused the rudeness as distraction all the while noting that Caucasian customers were acknowledged. Starbucks should get their stores straight across America...and these guys should take a class in customer care. BTW they were out of the drink...yes no notation on the printout that this.as the case...
Read moreTraveling through Sioux Falls & wanted to grab a coffee and breakfast. As soon as the girl behind the register (short blonde bob) looked up at me, she sighed like she instantly hated me. I asked for an Americano and gave her my Starbucks tumbler. She sighed again and said, what size do you need? I said whatever size you think fits this Starbucks cup. She said, what size is it, but wouldn’t look at the cup so I took it back and said probably about a 12 oz. She entered it and let out a louder, longer sigh. Then my husband ordered and he wanted a bagel and cream cheese. She entered it she said very bluntly, our oven doesn’t work so your food will be cold, k? Wow! Then she handed my husband the bagel, no cream cheese and she told him he had to purchase it separately and he said ok. That really ticked her off and she started angrily entering it and sighing the entire time, rolling her eyes. She gives me my Americano with no crema and says, here. I took it and figured it would be fine. Wrong! She put regular coffee in my cup and added hot water-it was like drinking hot water and cream with hardly any coffee taste but it was too hot to try until I was already in the car. What a waste- horrible, horrible customer service and she should be retrained or fired. We’ll NEVER go back to that location again. Don’t waste your money-go to one of the other locations. Who needs attitude like that when you are paying a premium for...
Read moreThis is a busy store. The parking lot is miserable. The drive-through cuts through the parking lot, making getting in and out of the store very difficult. This isn't really built for meeting someone for a cup of coffee. It's a machine for getting people in and out. Behind the counter was so busy I wasn't certain they still used the till to order. It looked like everyone ordered on the app. They didn't give you an order number, just a bunch of orange taped likes on the counter where they set food, with no apparent reason for the different places they put the food and little to no explanation of what was put out or who it was for. Just food and drinks hitting the counter with no more care than throwing a frozen hamburger patty on the grill. There's not really any atmosphere, the store is small, really crowded, and difficult to drop by and get something. I would choose to go elsewhere just to feel more human. Nothing went wrong. The food is fine. The workers were polite. The store is clean. But it's about as comfortable as a 2am Black Friday stampede at Wal-Mart. The only exception is actually the customers. A man with arms full, looked like an app delivery driver, kindly held the door and greeted everyone despite being heavily laden. The customers inside were patient and nice. Even though everything went fine, it was hard to enjoy the experience. But I don't believe you can solve your parking lot at...
