Food was as expected, but the service was frustrating at the least. Went inside to purchase at a busy time (430 pm-ish, Friday). First, no one would come to register, they were avoiding and just wondering around and 'looking busy'. The gentleman waiting in front of me must have been waiting quite some time more than I as he finally walked/yelled around counter asking if someone would come help him. This prompted the young person to finally come over and work register. This person took the both of our orders. What happened next is where the frustrations grew, the wait! I can see everything that is happening in kitchen and staffing looks adequate, but nothing is happening, just orders continuing to line up. This is not what to expect from a 'fast' food chain. The person that took my order is opening bags, putting sandwiches in, then taking them out and putting in other bags, and continues this behavior, but not actually producing any orders to deliver. The bags continue to line up in their area. I'm gaining further frustrations at this time and now there's even more people getting frustrated because no one would come to register and no orders were going out. I am trying so very hard to get anyones attention that works there, but the amount of skill that this young person has gained in avoiding eye contact is very impressive. A couple orders are finally filled and when i hear the numbers called i realize that there are many numbers between mine and the one called. I do not have time for this, i would have just grabbed snacks from store if i had any hints leading to a 20 min wait time. I finally convinced myself to walk around the counter (something out of my comfort) to ask if someone could refund my money, that I needed to go. The worker would not give me my money back, instead dissapears around corner to try and fill my order, leaving me to wonder if i should just walk out and 'donate' my money. The roads are horrible being the winter and a recent storm left snow and ice covering all surfaces. I really wanted to have all daylight possible for safety to get over to the valley, hints why I sacrificed my dinner time to grab something quickly. I think of McDonald's as a place that can provide hot food, fast. This establishment does not seem to lack the tools or staffing to promote this type of success, it obviously lacks management and working together as a team. Who ever is the 'team leader' during these shifts (2/16/24, 4:40pm) is not sufficient in their duties and should be considered for further training or replacement. Like in any management role, it is not about being the higher ranked/payed position, it's about bringing the team together and promoting success in the overall goals of company.
EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE!!! Enough, that I still feel upset about the experience a couple days later and now writing this review. My time, like everyone else in this world (even this staff), is something that is very precious. When it is taken because the inability to manage, it is very disrespectful to everyone involved (even...

Stopped by on my way back home from a family camping trip on Sunday. Figured I'd get in a couple quick and cheap little burgers for the kiddos then catch up to the rest of the family who had continued through in another car. Pull up and I'm second in the drive through, nice, it'll be quick I think to myself. But somehow it took them so long to get a couple double cheeseburgers made that by the time they handed them over there was 9 cars behind me, it was about 15 minutes! (I could tell how many cars because I could see the screen with the orders stacking up). Start driving away finally and the kids say the burgers are wrong, instead of plain there's extra everything on them. Whatever it happens. But it did seem like they were for some reason doing it to spite me on purpose as it had so much sauce it was dripping off and like 3x the normal amount of pickles and onions. So of course I drive back to get it corrected.
Walk in and there's a literal child working in there for some reason, little man couldn't have been more than 10-11. I get teaching the kids some work ethic but what the heck, no way he was getting compensated properly without being legal working age. Then the guy at the front tries to act like I didn't just buy these two burgers there only 2-3 minutes ago and the drive through window guy is acting like he's never seen me, that I didn't just sit there in front of him for about 15 minutes... DUDES, YOU'RE THE ONLY MCDONALDS IN TOWN, I WAS JUST HERE, SO RECENTLY THAT THE CAR THAT WAS BEHIND ME IS THE ONE THAT'S AT THE WINDOW NOW, AND THESE BURGERS ARE STILL WARM. Decided I didn't want to potentially wait another 15m for two burgers and just asked for my $5 back. Only saving grace is that I didn't have the rest of the family in the other car stop too or it would have been an absolute nightmare, no way they're getting 6 meals right if they can't even get two little...
Read moreIt was a pleasant surprise to find that this location changed it's lobby hours. They are now open till 10 pm both lobby and drive true. It was also nice to see my favorite manager still there. Now a little about the general things. They are located inside Chevron gas, the drive thru goes around the building, the bathrooms are located in the store on the opposite wall but is not very ADA friendly best to have a friend with you and they tend to be rather busy at times. I won't eat at McDonald's without the app any more cause it isn't cheap like it use to be, with that being said with the app you can get some really good deals a lot of buy one get one free and when you use the app you get points which you can use for free food. Because it's located inside the first gas station for about 20 miles parking can some times be an issue but there is a large parking lot near by for a grocery store and other shops. Also located at the gas station is two types of electrical car chargers sorry I'm not familiar with them and can't tell you what kind of cars they charge. The lobby is small but there is a patio with a couple of tables there is no play area for the kids but has a nice area to walk your pets keep them on a leash though as it's right next to Hwy 20. Welcome...
