I came in a week ago from today. The employee was very rude. I’m not normally one to complain but we drove all the way out from Farmington to get ice cream because the Farmington one hadn’t opened yet. My fiancé asked about frappes and changed his mind and wanted a 3 scoop cone and specified that’s what he wanted. She gave him a frappe anyway. Before we could say anything she shut the window and ignored us to go take another order. Our ice creams were still good but my fiancé was understandably disappointed. I went back after we finished our order to get a mystery pint which were $2.50 at the time. I also purchased a water along with it. I watched a person in line before me order one and they got their mystery pint. Within 30 seconds of ordering she came back and said she was out of mystery pints. When I asked if she could just make us a normal pint of her choice and that i’d be willing to pay the difference. She told me no and gave me a full refund while acting annoyed the whole time. Without asking if I wanted anything else instead or wanted the water still. Before I could say anything else and shut the window once again and went to take another order. I’d like to add that they weren’t insanely busy at the time, there were only 2 other people in line behind me both times we interacted with her. We went to the Farmington location today as it just opened yesterday. We had an amazing experience compared to at the Skowhegan location. The staff was very polite even though it was very busy and there was a much longer line behind us. Definitely will be going to the Farmington location...
Read moreToday was my first time going to this shop with my 6 year old son! The pricing was good & the ice cream was also good. The service, not so much. When you go to an ice cream shop, you expect to be met with smiles & enthusiasm that was not my experience. I do have 3 star tattoos on the side of my face & a tattoo on my chest. It's 2024. Lots of people have tattoos. My son was very well behaved & I was wearing a brand new dress. For the life of me, I could not understand why instead of smiles, I got skepticism & and biased reactions from both ladies serving at the windows. There was no warm, bubbly greeting for my beautiful autistic son either. He called them "Grumpy" as we walked away. So it was so obvious that he even noticed something was off. The looks on their faces, the staring, & their demeanor made me so uncomfortable that I considered leaving before ordering. My feelings were definitely hurt & after I came home to look at myself in the mirror. I looked beautiful. I wish I could read their minds because they made me feel the complete opposite.. I probably will not return due to their discrimatory demeanor. If anyone else has this experience I strongly suggest asking for a manager or the owner so that maybe, just maybe people that look a little "rough around the edges" or different never have to feel the way I did today. Thank you & I hope this review meets eyes that have the power to make a difference or suggest...
Read moreLet me just start off by saying I have always had good experiences with the place and I’ve been going here a long time but tonight when I went there we were there a little bit before they closed and 2 of the workers had a attitude because they didn’t hear what my girlfriend fully said so they proceeded to get mad at us and tell us they can only make one if we throw away the milkshake which was fine but weird because they don’t ever say that then after that they gave my sister her ice cream and crushed her cone so it would be melting before she could even eat it. And they gave there friends free ice cream while this all happened and made snarky comments while fixing the ice cream. Other than this experience the place is always a great...
