The Fairgrounds Marketplace — Local services in Skowhegan

"Fairgrounds Market Place" is not much of a "Marketplace". It is only Hannaford and Walmart. No other stores. There is sufficient parking for both stores. I will say at the end of summer when the Skowhegan State Fair is open that the driving situation to go to either Hannaford or Walmart is awful. The entrance to the "Fairground" and "Marketplace" (Walmart & Hannaford) are the same so if you need to go to either of these stores you will be stuck driving in a long long line. The Fairgrounds and Marketplace should have 2 entirely different entrances. I made this mistake twice this fall, forgetting the state Fair was open and I was stuck in traffic for at least 30 mins from the light intersection and entrance to just to...

Hannaford and Walmart provide my basic needs. I enjoy shopping here. One bonus...they're right next to each other. I've gotten used to these stores, so I know where most things are. But when I don't, they are very helpful.
