I’m not sure what is going on with this location, but the last couple of times I have purchased seafood from here it has not been good at all. They used to be really good but now it’s hit or miss. I’m not sure if they have new boilers but the quality of the seafood is not good. The crawfish lack flavor and the crabs meat were so mushy that I could not eat them. The price of seafood has increased tremendously and to waste that much money on seafood you can’t eat and can’t enjoy is unacceptable. I will not be back! Some of the staff can be rude at times which was okay when the seafood was good but nasty attitude and nasty seafood is not a good...

Great service, good, fat boiled crabs, nice atmosphere, and unpretentious. Some other seafood stores in the area can be a bit off putting and put their "fame" above the quality of their product.

We chatted with the owner while he packed up our crabs, telling us how they catch them themselves and what we could expect for quality. Told us about where they were caught and why they're so good from that area (these were from Barataria Bay, Grand Isle, which is renowned for their crabs and obviously seafood of all kind).

This is our new favorite seafood shop in Slidell and the description of the product was accurate, they were even better...

Smaller seafood market with excellent customer service and great prices. They usually give a little extra with your order.

Edit, 5 years later and still they are the best. Even with the crawfish shortage they give their customers the best service and prices. We bought 3 dozen crabs today and they were perfectly seasoned and full...no kites. This was an anniversary surprise for my wife and she was beyond happy. Keep doing your thing, it means a lot to us...
