I ordered an entire bedroom set and almost every piece was broken. I had an extremely hard time getting anyone to help me get a new, undamaged set delivered to me. My sales person did not help with the situation at all and neither did the lady in service (who had a terrible attitude). Mrs. Valicia was the ONLY person who helped me sort the situation out. After getting the new set delivered to my house it was also damaged. The delivery guys took the unbroken pieces from the first and second delivery to make almost a full set. I had to order a chest because they could not make one with the damaged pieces and the store did not have any more in stock, so I was told they ordered one for me. That was 3 months agoā¦.. I called several times to ask for an update on when my order would arrive and I was told each time āsomeone will give you a call back laterā. Not to my surprise, nobody ever did. I ended up wanting to cancel my order and could not get help from anyone YET AGAIN. That is until once again, my saving grace, and the only one who cares AT ALL about the customers and doing the right thing answered the phone. Yep, it was Mrs. Valicia. She solved my issue within minutes when I had been asking the other employees for weeks. Both times she helped me, she was unaware of how to fix the situation, but did not stop trying until she figured it out. This woman is the definition of a hard worker. I donāt know who is in charge over here but Mrs. Valicia needs a RAISE! She is a very hard worker and knows how to make light of a bad situation. They carry all the coveted Ashley furniture pieces as well as many other brands and really have an eye for picking classy sets. I was able to furnace my entire house, including the furniture, mattresses, perfect accent pieces from vases to rugs to artwork, add an affordable rate, including the flat and low delivery fee. Give them a call and ask for Valecia. I have never met a sales person less pushy yet more devoted to getting me taken care of in the most complete way. I found them online but didnāt live in Slidell so I couldnāt come see my interests in person. No problem! Valecia went above and beyond going all over their showroom to take multiple pictures of the individual pieces so I could get a better feel. I needed a bunch of things and measurements were important so she did that for me too and after a full afternoon of gathering information, she stayed well after her shift to help me get my order in. I also interacted with the Owner Tim throughout the process. All I can say is that customer service is not only the spirit and culture of this business but they deliver on it hands-down. Speaking of delivery, the guys were so professional, cardigan and careful not to damage in floors walls while they got furniture in, set up. I am loving my new home and all the wonderful furniture and pieces I got from American Furniture II of Slidell. I feel very lucky to have stumbled upon them. If I could give them 10 stars I would! Called back 2/25 to check to see they came in and was given nothing but attitude with a bunch of signs from the person on the other end as if it was an inconvenience that I was checking on my order as well as getting included on some office drama. Very unprofessional to speak negatively about your coworkers with a customer. Called back on 2/26 to speak with my sales person Victor to voice my concerns and was told that he would refer it back to HR but my furniture would be in 3/1. Now that it is 3/4 Iām told it wonāt be in until 3/8 and was told that I knew this was on back order. I had no knowledge it was on back order and instead told at the time of my purchase that it would be in around 2/26. Now it will supposedly be in 2 weeks after the initial date I was given. This is the 2nd time Iāve made a big purchase at this store and will be the last.
