Diner food with friendly service. Does get pretty crowded on weekend mornings. Had previously reviewed this particular location with three stars but have to make note of a particularly horrible experience this morning. We arrived around 9 am on a sunday. We expected the place to ne busy and that there would be a wait. Waited about 10 minutes and sat at the bar. Ordered food and waited. In the mean time about 10 minutes two folks sat at the bar in adjacent seats and ordered. The food for the folks that came in after us was served to them before ours. The order served to the adjacent folks was completely wrong which one would think the staff would take into consideration as they likely received our food. Instead of acknowledging the mix up, apologizing for the delay, etc the staff worked themselves into a mess ttying to piece together various things in attempt to correct the issue. Once most, not all, of the food was on the table dissatisfaction continued. Part of our order was biscuits and gravy. The gravy had the consistency of water and the biscuits were not fully cooked. One of orders was an all star special. The waffle wàs delivered to the table first and was the only thing that was ok. A full 15 minutes passed before the eggs hashbrowns and toast were delivered. All of the food on that last plate to the table was cold. The eggs had cheese that had not been ordered, the hashbrowns had onions that had been ordered and the toast soggy from sitting with butter on it. We thought of complaining to mgmt but as busy as they were did not want to hold up others waiting to dine. Been to this location a few times but after this last visit will definitely consider...
Read moreThe place was dead. The only decent thing this place has going for it was the server was somewhat friendly. There were a few people seated and already eating when we came in so obviously it wasn't busy at all. It took her forever to come take our order, then awhile to bring back the drinks. Which if it was busy I would completely understand. But in this time she was hanging out with her friend and chatting on the phone. What I'm assuming was the manager was allowing it, and just kept sneaking glances at us who were increasingly growing agitated. She finally takes our order and you can assume correctly it took way longer than it should have. In this time I hear our server and the manager arguing about her being in his space..I mean..really? Because that's so professional. My waffle was cold, which was the first thing she finally brought out. Ten minutes later after my fiance and I finished the waffle there was still no food.. when we finally got our food everything was cold, the bread was stale and the butter wasn't melted (so gross). My fiance's food wasn't any better. Hardly any meat on his cheesesteak and it was cold as well. We love eating at Waffle house but we haven't been to this one in awhile and definitely won't...
Read moreSo waffle house is about 8 blocks from my house. I am disabled and limited mobility. On this day 02/05/2023 after riding 4 hours from DeQuincy LA I attempted to place a pickup order by phone and was transfered to a answering service with a message stating they were to busy to take call in orders which is understandable, however when I pulled up there, there were a total of 4 customers in the store. Frustrating as it was maybe they has a reasonable explanation. No big deal. I ordered 2 chocolate chip waffles,1 hashbrown bowl with sausage, and 1 hashbrown bowl with sausage add bacon. When I got home and opened my bowl it had what appeared to be 2 whole pieces of bacon cut up and burnt to a crisp. Things happen in the restaurant business, we forget items, over or under charge, but when you blatantly serve a customer burnt food(especially when it was handled by more than one person) it is unforgivable. I don't want anything for free I just want...
