Where to start??? Not a place for all ages. The shirt logo's were very cheap looking and childish. SMH!!! Wish I could post without selecting one star. This was second trip. First trip was three weeks prior and we arrived to find them closed on a Saturday night. Later found out they were closed for the owner's twins birthday. His choice and understandable. When we walked in the heat was unreal. Thermostat read 91°. Was convinced to stay by other members of party. Ordered drinks and meals from a rude male employee that did not appear to be clean. Another waitress replied that it is hot and I'm here from 9-9 ya'll have got an hour or so. After finishing our meals I asked for my check. On third try I was told that it was at register. At register the young fellow asked what we had. Seriously! Isn't that their job? If I had told him that we had a beer he was not old enough to sell it to me legally. After a discussion with him while the owner was standing and listening, I paid and left. Couldn't have happened quick enough. I cannot suggest that anyone place themself in the circumstances that we were in last night. There is more but that is all the time I'm spending on this place. I can never get...
Read moreHad the seafood platter with sweet potato fries and onion rings. The catfish, oysters, shrimp were all fried to perfection. So light and delicately fried onion rings were absolutely delicious. The appetizer of fried crawfish tails were so delicious I could have made a meal out of them alone. Service was this witty (young?) lady that would refill my tea glass with every sip I'd take. Not complaining about that. She made sure we didn't lack nothing. You never needed to get her attention. She was always there. She made sure our food was served hot. The cook did an awesome job with preparing the food properly cooked. Great Job! Atmosphere: Likened to a cafeteria. Wide open space with only very large dining tables. Each table with its own personality. Traditional and farmhouse styles. Very unique and interesting. Along the walls were numerous TV and sport memorabilia along with newspaper enlarged pages of history. My wife and I went on a Wednesday late afternoon and was only the second family there. It wasn't long and people were coming in. The secret local spot is out now. We drove all the way down from Ozark AL. just to try this place out. We were not disappointed. Thank you to the owner and...
Read moreFir me to leave a negative review it has to be pretty bad!! This was my 1st time here & will be the last. The moment we walked in the door, first thing we see is a waitress wearing a shirt that said "improve your sex life" in big bold letters. While this may be funny & entertaining to some, for those of us who have children & grandchildren that can read it is far from funny, entertaining & definitely unprofessional. When the waitress overheard me speaking to my son about it, she got snooty & was rude the remainder of our visit. We had not gotten our food at time of post, so I can't really review on it but atmosphere & service was less than desirable especially for families. I will stick to Honey's or The oyster bar for my hotdogs!!
UPDATE TO REVIEW: We ordered 3 chili dogs w/fries after waiting an hour, bear in mind the waitress never came back to check on us during this wait, a young man finally came over & asked if we were ok. We told him no we would like to pay for our tea and leave because we had been waiting an hour for 3 chili dogs. He was very nice apologized & told us not to worry about the tea. It wasn't his fault or place to check on...
