Stopped on a Saturday afternoon about 1:30, we sat at the bar since it was not too busy. Our bartender/server Staci greeted us promptly & asked if we wanted a drink. I order an IPA on tap. Served cold and was refreshing. My better half had a diet soda.

We started with an order of wings which were pretty good size, hot flavorful & crispy. Order came out steaming hot. They were cooked perfectly, served hot & were delicious. We also learned on Thursdays between 5-9 wings are half price. BONUS!

We ordered the chicken cutlet sandwich. It was moist & tender & came with fried potato chips. I had the Double Barrel Burger which had 2 - 1/2 lb burgers, bacon, mushrooms, & I opted for Swiss cheese. I upgraded to cheese & gravy fries. The burger was huge! It was cooked medium rare and was very tasty.

We were pleasantly surprised with ever facet of our afternoon lunch. Awesome service, cold beer, delicious wings & great sandwiches.

We will definitely be back. Next time with the kids and grandkids. Did I mention it is roomy and has numerous tv's and a kids menu.

You are missing out if you don't stop here. Highly...

I visited 1836 Saloon 10/17/20. 3 stars for the hospitality and the Spicy Garlic Parmesan chicken. My fiance and I came in. We wasn't sure what to do because there was no staff in sight. They are NOT big on social distancing as EVERYONE had no MASK ON! After we found table I proceed to find a staff member. While asking a customer who's who young lady comes out. It seem she was thrown off by my Mask but later she was very kind. They all seem to know eachother which is why I think they probably feel they don't need to practice social distancing or mask wearing. A drunk short dude introduced himself but lingered around and started comin closer when I had to STOP him and told him I was on a date with my fiance. He backed off. Kareoke was great. The people was great. Just wish they took Covid more serious. Maybe I didn't either because I...

Simper Fi!!! Owner is a US Marine (thank you for your service) and walls are covered in photos of Marines! As my son is a Marine - this touched the right cord with me.

Place itself is a local popular dive! Live music with in and outdoor stages. Bar that serves both sides! Pool tables! Food is just what you would expect - plenty and tasty. My friends love beer and complimented their selection! And prices were more than moderate! If you are on rt 80, if you a biker or just feel like country vibe - make it your pit stop.

I will be sure to come back and bring a photo of my son to go on their wall as well!

Ps- of course i ordered THE MARINE...

This is the reason we came to East Stroudsburg. To find the real cornerstones of community. This "Bar and Grill" is exactly the kind of place where you can enjoy the "Cheers" experience. The customers treat strangers like family. The Bar has whatever you want at reasonable prices and the food is delicious. It's not a 'dining' spot it IS a get recharged and relaxed among friends you haven't met yet kind of place. Pool tables and gaming are there to entertain if you want to play. Recommend for adults who want to meet good people happy to please and meet you.
