Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Smithfield Township

Will not be back. I was in the area and wanted a personal pan pizza. I decided to order on the app to speed up the process. I placed an order for my usual extra cheese with pepperoni. When I arrived, I called the restaurant to let them know I was there, and they said I'd have my order in about 5 minutes. About 10 minutes later, a lady walked out with my order. As I opened the box the first thing I noticed was there was little to no cheese on my pizza. I took the first bite thinking maybe it's just me. The first bite was all sauce and crust, but no cheese. I decided to call the restaurant to plead my case. The lady I spoke with was nice, but argumentative. She came out to my vehicle and looked at the pizza. She instantly started arguing that their was extra cheese on the pizza because it covered the the toppings, which clearly wasn't the case. I told her that I would not return to this location, because the pizza was unacceptable, and she offered to remake the pizza. After reluctantly accepting her offer to remake the pizza, I called the customer service hotline, where I ended up getting hung up on because Pizza Huts customer service doesn't open until 1pm central time. This was a very bad experience. We arrived and this is our favorite and only Pizza Hut in town. We went in and Tim let us know that they forgot to put our breadsticks in the oven so we would have to wait for them, but the rest of the order was ready to go. Said that’s fine, we can wait. We sat there for about 10-15 minutes, noticed most of the workers just stood there talking, they weren’t busy at all so didn’t understand how they forgot to put all my food in the oven. After about 10 minutes one of the cooks comes up to us and says that they have cheesy breadsticks ready and we can just sub them for the regular breadsticks. I then ask, how much longer on mine, they say oh only one minute left. I told them I would just wait. Finally got my food, they forgot my wings too had to remind them. Went home with the food, all of it was soggy and not warm. Our food boxes were wearing thin as well on the bottom from the food being in it so long. This was so upsetting. Called in to place an order a little while back. I usually order on the app, but this night I just felt like placing it over the phone. I got into an argument with the woman on the phone because she claimed they don’t deliver to my area… I live less than 5 miles from the store.

She claimed shes been there for years and they’ve never delivered to McConnellstown (even though I've gotten delivery from here several times and can pull up those previous orders on my app for proof).

I then asked her if they deliver to the lake, and she says they do… really? You’ll drive through my town to deliver to the lake, but cant stop in mactown. What a joke!

She obviously just didn’t want to put in the work and fulfill the order for whatever reason.

Best part is, I then placed the exact same order on the app with the exact same address and they sent it right out. I made that order out of principal, but I refuse to order from this place going forward. Mactown Pizza and OIP deserve the business...
