We were traveling south on 65 from WI and found this gem! The meatloaf special tasted exactly like a homemade meal at grammies. It is very rare to walk into a restaurant and feel so welcomed. In a bustling, commercialized world, we lose sight on what is most important, and that is the friendly hometown environment with homemade food and great people who were so gracious to welcome us. We had the honor of meeting a fantastic waitress, Andrea, Grammie Theresa, and her son (we are sorry we didn't catch your name). The atmosphere, food and service was so great we stopped for breakfast on our way back home. We were remembered and welcomed again. If you are traveling on 65, skip the commercial stuff right at the exit, drive a few blocks further and discover a true homemade, welcoming experience at a great price! We recently stopped in to this wonderful restaurant. The staff greeted us immediately and were very friendly.

Despite being busy, the staff were on top of things. Our drinks never went empty and food arrived quickly. My husband ordered the daily meatloaf special with green beans and fries. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, sausage and a side of potatoes.

The biscuits were so light and fluffy, eggs cooked perfectly and sausage was great as well. Husband’s meatloaf was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.

We had all this food and two drinks for around 22.00. I had enough to take home for supper. We even met Grammie who treated us like regulars. We will be back. I can’t wait to try...

My friends and I came from Louisville to see Buc-ees just for a ladies day. Aftetward, we wanted something to eat so we looked and found this very cute very vintage restaurant. Not big but would probably seat 75. They serve breakfast and lunch. They have gooood coffee. I ordered the 3 egg 1 meat omelet with fried potatoes. Soooo good. All 4 of us cleaned our plates! Nothing left it was so good. The owner, Teresa, came over and chatted with us for about 10 minutes. Will definitely be back! Saw some of those onion rings walk by and they looked really good!
