McDonald's — Restaurant in Smiths Grove

Went through drive thru for drinks on 2/25 @ 5pm. There was a sign on the order pole that advertised cokes for $1. I ordered one and pulled to the window and was told $1.95. I told the young man what the sign said and he said current price total was $1.95 ....which I replied was false advertising and his response was "Sue us" I asked to speak to a manager and the young man he brought to the window said price was $1.95....sorry. So, I pulled away and called the store 30 minutes later to speak again with the manager. The woman who answered the phone told me she was the manager and she would speak with the two young men. I realize help is hard to find...let alone good help. But this rudeness to customers is another reason why people will stop spending time/money at McDonald's. I sincerely hope that the manager and owner(s) read this. Poor service and many times cold food at elevated prices will push people to competitors who have a reputation for hot food and good service....such as Culver's or In and Out Burger. I went to the drive thru and ordered some pies. After waiting over 5 minutes for 2 little ole pies I check them and they are cold! I told the girl they weren’t hot and she YELLS out the drive thru window, “WHAT?! DO YOU WANNA WAIT 12 MINUTES FOR THEM TO COME OUT OF THE OVEN?” THAT was totally unnecessary!!!! I yelled back no I want my money back!!! She had to be all of 17 and I guess she thought she was all that to YELL at a 57 year old woman! Finally the manager comes to give me my money, and had yet to speak to me or ask what happened, and no apology or anything! I told her her employee needed to learn how to speak to customers and not YELL at them when they complain. Still no apology! She said she was going to talk to her and I told her she wasn’t because she didn’t care how she spoke to a customer! She told me not to come back! No worries there as I WONT be yelled at by some kid and at the very least I deserved an apology from the “manager”! Maybe the little a$$ is her kid! Regardless that place sucks and I will be escalating...

Ordered food and it took an oddly long time as it was not busy. Eventually got it and it was great but they forgot straws so we had to stop and grab a few straws. Odd design layout as you can’t get napkins, straws, or ketchup. Tried to ask for ketchup but the girl literally ignored us. Finally got her attention and she rolled her eyes when asking for ketchup. I used to work food service and could not imagine rolling my eyes at someone for just asking for ketchup. I’d Probably go back for a drink but would avoid going in as you are pretty ignored by the staff. Honestly would have been fine had the worker up front had not rolled her eyes at us and ignored is.
