Grassroots Garden Lounge — Restaurant in Smithville

If you have not visited Grassroots Garden Lounge in downtown Smithville, I would highly recommend it. They’re open Wednesday through Sunday. They have specials almost every day of the week. We went there tonight for the first time. They have a smoked Manhattan that is absolutely amazing. Their other mix drinks are also excellent. And for the food, it was fantastic. It’s really meant to be a tapas restaurant. You won’t get a full meal here but the appetizers you get are out of this world. We had the garlic knots with tomato basil goat cheese fondue and pork belly deviled eggs along with the shrimp cargot all of which were fabulous. They also have Highland Beef sliders that I’ve heard are really good but we didn’t try them tonight. We will next time. The atmosphere is wonderful. The vibe is excellent and the ambience is great. If you’re looking for a place to have a wonderful happy hour or nightcap in downtown Smithville I would highly recommend the Grassroote Garden Lounge. We will be going back there frequently. Grassrooots has such a warm and cozy ambiance! It is the PERFECT spot for a date night or gathering with your best friends. The staff are incredible, drinks are delicious, and food is sooooo good! My husband and I love the Pork Belly Deviled Eggs and the Sliders!!! My husband likes their Smoked Old Fashion, I like the Time Bomb!! They also do fun events every so often, like comedy shows or sip and shops! We have even been to a few private events there - it makes a great venue for birthday parties and bridal showers!!!
