Food is OK compared with other Buffet. I give one START is because that they treated us very bad a couple of times, one time i even escalated to casino food service dept manager but don't see things changed.
We, from Bellevue WA area, usually go to this place 1-2 times per month. now we are kind of loosing interest because we were treated by those people work at restaurant badly.
Like most restaurants, they will add 18% tips when you pay at front desk for a party has more than 7-8 people. We often time go there with more than one family and pay individually, since each family had less than 8 so no tip was included when pay. But when get seated around 4pm, the old lady named Bonnie, PURPOSELESSLY put us in different dinning area, of cause, different tables. When we told them we came together and liked to sit together, they said you needed to pay in one receipt include tips to get seated together even it was 4 pm, restaurant just opened and had enough tables available...
That happened to us second time when that old lady was not there. but the people seated us did some thing. One time they allowed us to sit together. but after dinner. the big manager (Spanish speaking) checked waiters to see whether we left tips or not....
The other time, it happened again to us, and then I had a deep conversation with that Spanish speaking manager, According to him, people worked at front desk also like to get tips from those tips paid in advance for the party over 7-8 people.for tax purpose (don;t know what tax had something to do with tips)...
I have not been in this place for a while and I bet this "culture" still apply to guests because this has happened to us consistently regardless whether this old lady named Bonnie is there or not; this is the local rule setup by restaurant; and may not be known by Casino upper management.
My impression is that those people who work at cashier desk, seating people... are desperately driven by tips because they can get certain percentage from this 18% tips paid in advance!
I don't mind I pay tips in advance if i have a big party -- actually we paid good tip to people who serviced us...but what happened to us is not really a good practice though... Casino upper manager need to...
Read moreCame here to eat seafood but did not see any outside of some sad shrimps in the Mongolian Grill area.
We were there on August 4 at lunchtime. Around noon. The Mongolian Grill was attended by two Hispanic or Indian American guys. I’m describing this in detail so management can address the issue with the appropriate individuals. The grill is a Large Metal plate about 5-6 feet in diameter, Probably costs no less than $20,000, and up to $100,000. Yet It was used as a simple cheap pot that would cost $20 at a store.
The way these “chefs” operate the grill is to put the raw food on there, poured a little bit of sauces and put an aluminum lid on to let it steam the entire time instead of constant mixing (aka GRILLING) like a chef at, say Benihana (Where grilling concept probably was copied from but not executed the same way due to poor employee training and management at this buffet)
The food on the grill came out hot and liquidy instead of properly grilled. Despite my request Of mixing, the “chefs” Acted like they didn’t Understand the language and continue to steam my food on the grill squirting more sauces and liquid on the half-cooked food on the grill to let it steam instead of Stirring or mixing.
If you’re looking for an experience, this one is called UNDERWHELMED.
Also I’ve been advised by the front cashier that the crab legs that were once this place is known for is no longer available since Covid, Which was...
Read more5 stars for what this is. Rating 5 mostly to keep rating above 4.1, which is what it’s at now. Seems appropriately rated. It’s not high-end fancy dining. However, it is a step up from the Golden Corrals and Old Country Buffets I grew up going to. Although, those hold some nostalgia for me, so, I do miss going to those places lol. My partner and I go to Falls Buffet sometimes after outdoor outings off the I-90 corridor on our way home. So, it’s typically early to late afternoon. We enjoy the mini-Vegas vibes we get walking into the Casino, we enjoy the partial views of the mountains/trees, the friendly and very attentive staff, and dessert island. I liked their salad bar. I wish their baked pies were hot or warm, but they have good flavor. They’re served chilled. The Mongolian grill is tasty. They always have decent meat, vegetable and carb options. Drinks like, coffee, soda, POG juice are included in the cost (all you can drink). It’s a small buffet but it has plenty to choose from in my opinion. The seating area is large and open. I liked their chicken and dumplings but they haven’t served that the last few times I’ve been there. FYI, they no longer serve king crab legs (cold) anymore. Brunch is served Sat and Sun...
