Feedback on Dining Experience
I visit Snoqualmie often, and my husband and I recently went to the deli, only to learn it has been replaced and is becoming a taco bar. The staff referred us to the new restaurant, where I was pleased to see one of my deli favorites—the country fried steak breakfast—still on the menu. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
The steak was unusually thick and very extremely tough, the gravy lacked seasoning, and the toast was served in a way that was unappealing. The hash browns were BURNT! I couldn’t believe it! What happened?! Did they get rid of the old staff? The dish felt like a major downgrade from the quality once offered at the deli and it came with even less...it doesn’t come with egg whites any more and the price is more. My husband ordered a cheeseburger, which he said was tasty, but overall, the food took longer than expected to arrive despite the restaurant not being very busy. It gave the impression that the restaurant may be understaffed. Opening while short-staffed only hurts both the team and the customers.
What troubles me most is that popular menu items from the deli that had proven to be well-liked seem to have been unnecessarily altered, and not for the better. If something is already working and receiving positive feedback, it should remain consistent. Innovation is good, but it should not come at the expense of long-standing favorites. The country fried steak was nearly inedible and unfortunately went to waste. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! I think somethings are being unnecessarily overthought.
On a positive note, the restaurant itself is beautiful. The ambience, bar, views, and outdoor seating are all outstanding—an ideal atmosphere for sports season or an evening out. It’s just unfortunate that the food and service don’t yet match the quality of the setting. I have faith that, as a new establishment, things can improve—but those improvements need to happen quickly.
For context, we visited on a Thursday night. If service and food remain at this level, weekends will likely be overwhelming for both staff and...
Read moreHope that this is all a grace period - but the first impression has left a lot to be desired. As a weekly patron of Sno Casino - it was pretty bummed out to learn that the deli is being converted to a taco shop - it would have made more sense to revamp a menu rather than an entire deli. Hawk and Peak is the new spot to eat in the casino; as of now they are not 24 hours. We came on our usual Monday night and found a handful of folks in the dining area but no hostess. We waiting about 10 minutes before someone came up and lead us to our table. We were greeted fairly quickly and orders were taken. Food took a little longer than expected despite only having 4 tables present (two of which were already eating). Not being able to find our server to wave down had us getting our own straws and napkins from the bar. Refills had to waive someone down and that still took 10 minutes. If it were busy, understandable but it wasn't. More disappointing is the food - mediocre at best for such a nice spot. Nothing was reimagined - $12 for 6 piece chicken wings came out on a small plate with a ramakin of ranch, 6 small fried wings on a lettuce leaf. $2 per chicken wing is crazy in itself, serving it on a side plate with some dried celery is lazy. My buddy got a BLT sandwich and tater tots that was just what it was, a sandwich and handful of tots scattered on a plate. In an establishment as nice is HP is, I would expect some degree of presentation/effort to the dishes. Acceptable for a diner but this place actually looks nice. Overall - I hope things improve over time but right now it's not what one would expect from such a nice...
Read moreVERY Disappointed...was looking forward to checking out the newly touted sports bar and possibly making it a suggested gathering place for friends to watch games as I am local. Got there at 9:40am for a 10am Hawks game but there was a line to be seated and we were told it would be 20-30 minutes. We could see LOTS of empty tables and only a couple people at the bar. The host actually said he didn't want to seat us at a table because he didn't want his wait staff to not make any money on tips if we were just there (at a sports bar) to watch a game...wow. We wanted to order breakfast and Bloody Mary's so we grabbed a couple seats at the bar. We sat there for 30 minutes with the bartender working a few feet away, but not once did he ever acknowledge us. We had to ask another patron at the bar (who was also very annoyed) to borrow their menu and then flag down someone else to order. Probably took 30 minutes or so for the food, which was cold. We ended up flagging down someone else to ask if we could at least get a couple waters and coffee in lieu of drinks. No one ever came back to fill the water or the coffee in the couple hours we were there. It was a very surreal experience and actually very pathetic, they should be embarrassed as an establishment. Needless to say, we will never go back and will be sure to spread the word that Hawks Peak Sports Bar and Grill is anything BUT a welcoming, fun or energetic place to...
