Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience at Willy's. This was a Saturday afternoon, and the restaurant was mostly empty other than another 2 tables or so. The food did take a little while to come out, but I wasn't that concerned about that. However, once the food came, mine was incorrect. I let our server know and reminded him of my order, and he said he would go have it fixed. I then waited another 20 minutes for my food to come back out - only to still be incorrect. Because I didn't want to wait anymore, I told the server (after he started to argue that it wasn't incorrect) that I would just keep it because we didn't have time to wait for another 20-30 minutes. At this time, I also asked for a refill for my husband's drink and asked for sour cream that I had asked for when I originally ordered my food. After several more minutes, the server returned with the sour cream, but not my husband's drink (tea). He had forgotten it. I finally got to taste my food (25ish minutes after my husband got his - we didn't want it to get cold, so I encouraged him to go ahead and eat), and the meat (which was what was wrong with it in the first please - I didn't order meat in this particular meal) tasted so dry and burnt that it was inedible. My husband also had beef in his food, and it tasted very different from mine. The server was very clearly hiding after he had brought my food out incorrectly a second time, so I didn't get a chance to express my distaste until the food was completely cold. We asked that mine be taken off of the check, and we paid and left. The server continued to hide even after this, never apologizing or trying to do anything at all to rectify the situation. And bizarrely, we had to wait several minutes because the manager of the restaurant was "down the street" and wouldn't be there to correct our ticket for a bit. On the whole, I would say that there is a ton of room for improvement at this establishment. With Social Circle being such a small town, Willy's has a real opportunity to shine, but this...
Read moreWhere to begin of how poorly this establishment is. First off we just moved to the Social Circle area and thought we would try and support a local restaurant. We walked in and weâre greeted by staff, stating we could sit where we would like. The staff was friendly upon entrance, Iâll give them that.
The chips and salsa that were brought to the table were less than satisfactory. The salsa was watered down and chips tasted old. Further into ordering our food, I ordered a steak burrito al carbon. I asked for cheese dip to be on top of the burrito instead of the green sauce that was supposed to be on it. I thought this was a simple substitute and wouldnât be an issue. My kid ordered a kids cheeseburger and fries and wife ordered a beef taco with a side of rice.
When we get our bill , this place charged me $2 for the spoonful of cheese dip that was on top of my burrito. Furthermore they charged me an EXTRA $3 for the steak that was inside the burrito al carbon when it was labelled on the menu as a meat selection. Then they charged me for another side order of fries that they brought and I DIDNT ORDER!!
When asked, the waitress stated that the cook is the one who told her to make those extra charges. She stated that a manager wasnât working and the son is normally in charge. So all of these extra charges came from the cook that was in the back. Oh and for how simple my order was , it costs us $84!!!! We will not be returning and warn other before making this...
Read moreIt's a seat-yourself establishment, with very few tables. They need a bigger space, if they want to feed the whole town (there aren't very many restaurants to chose from in Social Circle). The food is a bit lackluster, and most of the servers are dismissive, rude, or forgetful. I've had one really good experience there. I forget her name, but she had a lot of tattoos. Anyway, she was the best server I've had. When I called the manager over to let her know how impressed I was with the girl, the manager didn't understand a compliment. Probably because she's used to complaints. As far as food, it's either over-cooked, too salty, or just plain boring (& covered in cheese to make up for the fact that it's boring). I wish I could give this place a better review, since Social Circle needs the traffic, but I've gone all the way to Bethlehem to get better Mexican food, rather than going here, which was right...
