Huddle House — Restaurant in Soddy-Daisy

9:30 dine in 7/2/19 Literally had the worse experience ever here i wouldnt even give 1 star !!! The waiter we had was Amber and my family and i decided to have huddle house for dinner tonight since we had some coupons we needed to use. From the moment we walked through the door she had a bad attitude. Every time we ordered something she acted annoyed. My husband order a 2 can dine 7.99 meal were he was going to eat a burger and fry there and the second meal take to go with 6 cheese sticks. I ordered the smoke house platter with grits, toast with my eggs sunny side up, and my little brother asked he had the same as me. And my daughter got a kids meal pancake with bacon ( which i assumed would be free since kids eat free on tuesdays). The 1st thing Amber did after taking our order was come to our table with the reciepts. I noticed she didnt even ring up my husbands cheese sticks and charged us for a kids meal. I thought well maybe she did that on purpose? She brings my brothers plate 1st which was missing his grits and toast and then Amber comes back to our table to inform us that they were out of biscuits and gravy and offered grits and toast.......ummm sure since grits and toast is what we ordered. She then comes back to tell us they are also out of grits and toast(mean while still giving us attitude) i replied well what can i have to substitute? (I said Nicely), she starts throwing her arms about with attitude and says i dont know extra toast? I asked well can we get extra sausage then? She leaves come back and says she cant do that because they have to take that out at the end of the night. So i just requested extra eggs with my smoke house platter and walked away before she could compisate for my little brother (by the way the eggs were cooked wrong, the food was cold and over cooked at the same time) by the time i got my food my brother finished his which took forever to get to the table and by the time i finish my food my daughter got her pancake which was a disgusting brown like it was cooked with the sausage and by the time she finished her food my husband got his burgers. My eggs were burnt on the bottom but some how still came out sunny side up, and my husbands tator tots were cold...still didnt get his cheesesticks but since it was taking forever to get our food and she didnt ring it up we didnt bother to mention it we were just eager to leave from our bad experience. When i went to cash out i asked her about the kids meal and she said because we used coupons we couldnt apply it (which is fine i wasnt going to argue) but for 28.00 none of the experience or food was worth it!! I will never be coming back. And no i did not tip the horrible waittress a dime of...

MY 5 STAR REVIEW REFLECTS EMPLOYEES ONLY!!! SHAME ON WHOEVER OWNS THIS PLACE!! Let me be VERY CLEAR the ONLY reason we still go to this establishment is because the food is always cooked exactly how we order, the quality of the food is always excellent, and the staff there are the most friendly, and patient. They are always an absolute joy. The owners of this place don't deserve such dedicated, loyal employees! As we pull up the signage indicating huddle house on the pole is so overgrown with weeds you can just barely see it. The parking lot matched unfortunately pulling in it looks like it's abandoned as the exterior is in shameful condition, sign is overgrown and falling apart. Inside the ac is hit and miss mostly never working especially in the warm months. Last time we were in there I kid you not there was a legit river under a few booths and when we enquired the poor employees said it was the ac. What kind of severely sick and poor ownership is this?? We moved to the area 5 years ago and stop in quite often and this place is more and more dilapidated each year. I feel so sorry for the employees who stick it out there day in and day out because they clearly have more dedication and loyalty to Huddle House than the owners do. Shame on huddle house for allowing someone to own this franchise and not be looking to see how poorly he is making the...

Not sure if our server was just having a bad day or if she didn’t like the look of us, but she hardly spoke to my girlfriend and myself, and didn’t even ask about a drink order, just stared blankly until i asked for a coffee. the food was delicious and came out incredibly quick (our server only brought one of the 4 plates out and did so wordlessly without checking on drinks or if we needed anything else, a member of BOH brought the rest of our food and he was perfectly pleasant.) after she avoided eye contact for 5+ minutes while doing dishes i asked for a refill on my coffee while she paused to help an elderly man exit the restaurant (i had picked up some silverware he dropped, so no complaints there, but..) after refilling my coffee she disappeared for another 10 minutes, another server checked in with us who seemed to be covering more than one section already, and we asked her for a box for our food. 10 more minutes go by and we remind her when we see her. her face drops and she starts immediately apologizing. our original server, who has reappeared and has been doing dishes while avoiding eye contact, then pipes up and says “oh, i was getting it for them.”

would have tipped the other server if i could have. we’re traveling so i can’t exactly vote with my wallet but i would make a point to not go to this location, or at least don’t...
