Starbucks Coffee Company — Restaurant in Solana Beach

Was at this Starbucks at Lomas Santa Fe Plaza and had exceptionally good service and pampering (I am a 75 year old man who loves pampering and patience)....I received both from JP and Jordan, and this is not the exception for this location; it is the norm; I live in the neighborhood (at Santa Hidalga, SB) and frequent this particular Starbucks because of I am a picky old man, and they never mind and they say so when I say "Thank you for your patience you always show me'. And they smile and say 'It's my job;' but they always go far past what is expected, and this is what keeps me coming back: I ask for a very unusual coffee drink, made just the way I like it (largest ceramic cup, 3 or 4 Ristretto espresso shots, heated very hot half and half (about two inches only--NO FOAM ! It's not a latte, it's not a breve; it's 2 inches of heated HALF AND HALF NO FOAM! And this day I got exactly what I asked for first try (this is unusual) and was served with a smile and funny banter back and forth, after going through the line with both Jordan and JP everyone was laughing, and my espresso was par excellent, and both JP and Jordan were Baristas Extraordinaire ! I'll be back.......yogi, Solana Beach (travelling from Tucson)......Be Happy,...

Each location has its better shifts and its worse shifts. It's kind of sad that Starbucks isn't open when you REALLY need it... I.E. 2 AM, when you work night shift. But, take what you can get.

This is the location closest to my home, but I have resolved not to go back before noon. Why? They messed up my order. (sigh.) Not that they're unique. I have an unusual 'usual', odd though that sounds.

Today, at first I thought they had tried to compensate for the unusually high number of 'mocha pumps' I had asked for in my hot chocolate by using tiny pumps, but as I drank the concoction, the flavor strengthened... Until it was a bit TOO thick, even for me. It just wasn't mixed well; all the flavor was on the bottom. And I'm pretty sure that they ignored me when I asked them not to put whipped cream in it...

In any event, with some crews you ask them for something and they get it just so. In this location, morning shift gets it wrong; afternoon/evening is utterly brilliant. So, afternoon shift it is; now...

I really enjoy Starbucks… Each location had its own vibe and overall "attitude " Everyone working at this location it is pretty young… And the only person that stands out of the mix is the cashier named Beryl.

She is definitely older… And I was not well received by her… Nor were the other younger patrons. I'm in my 30s…

I noticed she gave preferential treatment to the older clients… Which was not cool… She greeted them with a smile and said thank you and asked if there's anything else she could do for them… And to everyone under the age of 60… They were definitely not received this way! Not very cool Starbucks… All your customers should be greeted with a smile and at least a thank you after paying at the...
