Do not go to this location to buy a milkshake. I was just here around 10:45am on Wednesday 2/18/24 I didn't get the guys name working the register but should have. I purchased a medium milkshake for $4.54 no problem because I wanted 1 the issue started when he was spending more time flirting with the lady at the counter in which he and some of the others knew. So he put 2 small scoops of ice in the cup filled it with a little milk and shook it and handed it to me said thank you and walked off to get back in the conversation. So I look at my cup and it's only 3/4 full with a cap on it and very watery. So I got his attention to tell him to fill it up the rest of what I paid for. And was floored when he began to tell me how much money they lost last month due to over giving of portions. Which was very out of line and should never discuss personal business with a customer. All I ask was to give me the portions I paid for and he told me his bosses told him to cut back. So I'm saying if you are false advertising a medium drink but giving your customer's a smaller portion then that's fraudulent practices just like dollar general and other businesses. He told me everybody is doing this now so I just told him to give me my 4.57 back and I can go elsewhere. Sad to tell a paying customer you are skimming them out of the remaining portions because you are losing money. Well now you just lost that portion and have to...
Read moreOn Dec. 21st, I visited this location in Somerville. I'm a bus driver and stopped in with our middle school basketball team. After just having a bad experience in a town nearby, we were somewhat hesitant to stop there but chose to anyway. Needless to say, I am so glad that we did. There were several people who stood out to us and made sure that we had a great dining experience. I was sure to get names: Sylvia , Shea, Amanda, Haley and Michael... Sylvia is the epitome of exceptional customer service..The way she responded not only to me and the coaches, she proved to be the the type of manager that takes pride in her job and coached her staff well. One of the employees was new and the teaching moment that took place was textbook.. Things she/they did and the manner in which they handled certain situations went a long way with me. Just as I would have shared a bad experience, I belive in highlighting the good as well.
Our girls were so grateful and wanted to do something for them, I drove back a couple of days later to deliver Christmas gifts to them because FedEx was unable to deliver due to a system hack... However, I didn't mind taking the hour and a half drive because of how friendly the staff were.
I have had some not so pleasant experiences in other Jack's restaurants and can say that they could definitely learn a thing or two from the staff at this location.
Thank you...
Read moreI’m not sure why some of these reviews are so negative. I have lived in Somerville for three years, and I have noticed a positive change in the quality of their food and service in the past 8 months. The staff is always friendly to me and even remembers my regular orders—one morning I forgot to order an orange juice with my breakfast, and the employee was waiting at the window to ask if I needed orange juice that morning. I’m glad she did and impressed that she remembered me. The drive thru employees always ask about my day before I get a chance to do the same, and I am always greeted with a smile. If I have ever had to wait on a drive thru order, the gentleman (I’m pretty sure it’s their GM) always greets me with a smile and an apology on the wait time. They have only gotten an order wrong once, and when I called their attention to it, they immediately apologized and remade my order fresh. The restaurant is much cleaner than it has ever been, and the employees always seem happy and give great customer service. Three years ago, I wouldn’t have eaten here, but I was informed they were under new management and I decided to give them another try—and I’m glad I did. Keep up the...
