Sweet Pea Bake Shop — Restaurant in Sonoma

A tiny unassuming shop on a main road in Sonoma County with one of the best croissants I have ever had. I say this as someone who has been to Paris twice, and over 50 countries world wide. The croissants are sizable, buttery, flaky on the outside with a delicate and tender inside, and with excellent lamination throughout.

The other pastries like the Reese's inspired cronut, the Kouign Amann, and the morning bun are all also very tasty with the same buttery texture with some added flare.

I eat out a lot and have a taste for quality ingredients. I think this pastry shop has some of the best pastries you'll find in northern California. I particularly favor the ham and cheese croissant. I believe that it is the best I have ever had and will ever find. No photo. Wanted to switch up my weekly pastry treat and came here instead of my usual spot. Ordered a Kouign Amman, after waiting behind a grown man who was wearing his jammies with cartoon characters on them. Not wanting to hang out in the bakery with adults who can't dress themselves, I took the pastry to go. When I got home, discovered the pastry was day-old. For $5.50, I expected better.
