This restaurant is located in South Bend Airport after you go through security. Staff was overall friendly however they all appear to be stressful (no smile whatsoever). I ordered spicy veggie burger. Food quality was good. Service was ok too. There is only one restaurant in the airport so no other choices for food. Pricing was reasonable. Seating area was clean. If I spot smile next time, I will change it to five star 😀

But get this, when I politely requested a cup of ice for my Diet Coke, the absolute numpty behind the counter had the cheek to ask for 75 cents. Can you believe the cheek of it?

Popped into the Chocolate Café for brekkie and ended up forking out about $25 for a bottled drink and some nosh. The grub was passable and the vibe wasn't half bad for the crack of dawn. But get this, when I politely requested a cup of ice for my Diet Coke, the absolute numpty behind the counter had the cheek to ask for 75 cents. Can you believe the cheek of it?

Being the sole restaurant and shop at South Bend Airport, they may be complacent, and it's noticeable in their service. I would rate them four stars if their staff showed a bit more enthusiasm and friendliness. I would also increase my rating to four stars if my coffee hadn't contained so many coffee grounds; I only noticed them when I had nearly finished my black coffee. They appear content with maintaining a mediocre...
