If I could give no stars to this place I would. My fiance and I were going here to have a wedding cake made. The first time we here the woman that works at the register was very rude. It says that they close at 8 we got there 10 minutes to 6 and we were trying to tell the lady that we were looking to have a wedding cake made. The woman started off rude telling us that she was closing basically brushing us off and pushing us out the door telling us that we needed to come back tomorrow after she just finished serving a customer that she was very polite too and asking them if she can get them anything else and im not going to say the race of this customer. We asked her what time she said just come before 6 p.m. we said fine. We go back the next day at 2 in the afternoon and tells the lady that we are here to pick a wedding cake. The woman proceeded to act as if we were ignorant and she didnt understand what my fiance was talking about so she said I was here last night you explained to me that I had to come back today. The lady then proceeds to tell her that now we have to come back tomorrow between 6 a.m to 12 p.m. by this point we are upset because this woman is basically blowing us off at this point my fiance asked her why do we have to come back you told us yesterday to come today with a picture of the cake. She proceeded to go back and forth with us about how now we didnt bring a print out of the picture but we had a picture of the cake on our phone even though she never specified that she needed a print out. After her going back and forth with us for 2 minutes and finally saying just let me see the picture on the phone we were no longer interested in doing business with such a rude establishment. This woman was very unprofessional and obviously prejudice and probably homophobic seeing as though we are an african american lesbian couple. I will never return back to this establishment the worst and most ignorant person I have...
Read moreI recently went to Pierre's to get a slice of cake for my mother's birthday. I called about 3 times before I went to ask when the bakery closes and they said 7pm and I asked to make sure that if I can come at 6:55pm and still come and buy a cake, I was told that as long as I came before 7pm I was ok. I came at 6:55pm exactly and the doors were locked and tried knocking on the door and one girl inside looked me in the eye and ignored me. I called the office at 6:57pm at that point to speak with someone to come let me in being as I called earlier and she said they were closed and can't do anything once the register is closed, but I said that I called previously to make sure. She transferred me to the bakery and nobody answered, they actually raised the phone and closed it immediately. After, I called back the lady and she picked up the phone screaming at me that they are closed, how do I not understand that, and then hung up in my face. I tried calling again but nobody answered. I went into the deli because they were open and found an old lady at the front desk and asked to speak with the owner, who wasn't there, then asked to speak with the manager, which turned out to be the woman I was speaking to on the phone. I tried talking with her calmly and asking her if that is how she speaks to the customer, how could you do that to a paying customer, especially if I called earlier, and she just kept yelling at me. I told her all I was trying to do was buy cake for my mom's birthday, especially as her sister died the week before, and the lady says to me "Why do you bring death into your life? My son died so I don't care". How dare you say that to a customer? I asked her name and she said Ramona in a way that she was talking to an idiot and asked me to leave the premises because she didn't want to talk to me calmly. Please never go here, the service is terrible and this Ramona has the...
Read moreChoosing Pierre’s for our Mother’s Day brunch was a tremendous disappointment. Our family was impressed with the photos on line as well as the reviews we had read, but our experience and impression did not match our expectations. For starters, attention to details with presentation were surely lacking. Upon joining the buffet line, particle flecks were noticed on the stacks of plates. Rather than silverware provided at the table, there were two large open bins of forks and knives from which to gather utensils. No spoons?? Desserts laid out essentially in one large sheet are an open invitation to messiness and those less etiquette-refined grabbing with their hands. None of the chafing dish and self-serving food was labeled. Was that seafood dish jambalaya? Paella? Seafood Pilaf? What exactly is in that seafood or pasta salad? The chafing dish with meat in a gravy sauce-It looks like chucks of beef, but maybe it is lamb? Pork? Goat?Same thing holds for the desserts. What kind of chocolate cake is that? What is in the icing? Various breads piled up with no eye to appearance? No indication if it was sourdough, rye, whole grain, or whole wheat. For anyone with dietary restrictions or allergies, or those who just want to know what was served – labeling is essential. Ok, now on to food quality. The tomatoes in the salad were mushy-definitely not fresh. Viennese cookies also not fresh. Soft and not freshly made. Maybe left over from last weekend? Shrimp was overcooked. The meat and vegetable dishes? BLAND!! The chef needs an introductory course on seasonings and spices. Better food could be had at a Golden Corral buffet. Carving station meats were not warm, but at room temperature. And who slices prime rib like deli cold cuts? It is noted that the ham was very tasty. At a total cost of 35$ per person, a more professional presentation and higher quality food...
