Only 2 short years ago I wrote a five Star perfect review for this Murrells inlet SC Arby's, included a picture of the food that looked so good it could have been featured in a magazine! However, That was then, This is NOW... Things are now slipping consistently so much so that I felt I had to remove that review and my picture as this Arby's is NOT the the Arby's of a few years back.
A few things I have experienced...I have noticed the portion control of the protein looks to be getting tighter and tighter, I'm one who will pay more but when things get smaller and smaller it becomes a problem.
The food no longer looks as appealing as it once did. Best way I can explain it as at one time the food at this location looked to be prepared with "pride" perhaps "love" now its just meat and bread slapped together....
Sometime back, I ordered a milk shake in the drive thru with and was handed a milk shake that was hard, frozen solid and had been held in a freezer! When I asked was this a previous order mistake and held in a freezer and the employee responded yes, the milk shake was held in a freezer. The straw would not even go into the cup it was solid frozen! NOT COOL Arby's ! A previous order mistake like a milk shake goes in the trash not held then passed to the next customer! Is food cost being watched that close at this location? I requested a fresh milk shake, I made it clear I was upset something was passed on to me like that but the issue was resolved with a new, fresh milkshake.
But then today I'm inside and I hear the young employee "pitch" the new special, I had actually searched the website to see what was on special and thats what got me in the door! I think it was the NEW Brisket Bacon Beef and Cheddar Meal the employee offered to the customer ahead of me but then the employee had to try and and explain that customer could order the "Cheddar Special but with NO Cheddar! I thought thats stupid!
When I asked I was told This Arby's was OUT OF THE Liquid Cheddar CHEESE found on so may items... The customer ahead of me stormed out disgusted! I walked out too with no food...
Only once in the 80's did I visit a National chain fast food burger restaurant and was told we are out of cheese, Thats something one never forgets as you just don't run out of cheese at a fast food joint!
I'm guessing new management forgot to order cheese?
I hope my local Murrells inlet Arby's can get it together like it was only a few years back. I enjoyed Arby's and hope the owner will get this location back on track as it would be a shame if this location goes under but its slipping and no longer a first choice...
Read moreThis Arby’s has always been excellent until about 2 weeks ago. My husband was in the hospital so I came to get me a Ruben. Didn’t taste like a Ruben at all very surprised. But I gave them the well maybe short staff. First time ever a problem so let it go. 2 days later went back and got a cherry turnover and mozzarella sticks. Turnover wasn’t good how do you mess up a turnover and the mozzarella sticks I don’t know if they were old but they were hard and dry. Ok 2 days apart just having a bad week. Gave them once again the another try a week later . This time we got a classics chicken and turkey sandwichs and fries. We were told to pull up and wait even tho no one behind us. We waited at least 15 minutes and then I got out of the car walk around building and went inside. Asked where my food was. Told them what I ordered and was told someone gave your food to wrong person. Ok fine that could happen but what about us sitting out there!!!!!! They made our food and said sorry. Got to car and fries cold! 3 Strikes you are out. I will never ever go back to this Arby’s . So disappointed when they were always good for 20 years that I...
Read moreThree visits in a row our drive thru orders have been wrong. I talked to the manager on the last two occasions and he was rude borderlining on hostility. Last week I went and was greeted thru the speaker. I was told that they needed to make $400 in the next hour so I needed to order a lot. Then all you could hear was kids laughing. I drove away. Tonight I stopped in and the order takers headset was messed up and you couldnt hear her. After repeating my order three times I told her that I would drive around at which time she screams at me not to drive around. I drove off once again. I really want to speak with someone at the corporate office concerning this. The kids working there have ruined what used to be the best Arby's in the area. Never going back to an overpriced place that is rude and can't complete simple food orders completely. Stay away from the Murrells...
