Bojangles — Restaurant in South Carolina

Went to the drive thru on 7-20-25 at 2:50 p.m. and ordered a 8 piece meal with sides of mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy and a half gallon of sweet tea.After paying I was asked to pull into a parking space because the chicken was cooking. After sitting and waiting for a little over 20 minutes I thought maybe I was forgotten about so I went inside and asked. The kid that had taken my money and order said the chicken was still cooking. I thought this was unacceptable and ridiculous. After waiting another for over another 10 minutes they finally had my order together. When they gave me my tea it was given to me in 2 large cups instead of a half gallon jug which they explained that they was out of half gallon jugs. I was ok with that but not the long over 30 minute wait. I finally left out around 3:35p.m.However once I got to work 10 minutes later. I sat down to eat before my night shift started. This is when I found that all the chicken was cold except the 2 breast. Then I took a sip of tea and it was old unsweetened tea. I was thinking man this is the worst experience I've ever had but it was over yet. I dipped out some mashed potatoes and when I opened my gravy it was sausage gravy. I come here regularly and while the food is consistently good they almost always seems to be understaffed. I waited 10 minutes to even be acknowledged at the counter-which was super awkward, in no way an acceptable protocol etc. As team members worked on this and that they were very deliberate to avoid looking at the guests standing at the register. I just couldn't believe how no one bothered to say anything to us until a sweet young lady with a warm presence finally quit walking around to come greet us and take our order. It was very, very weird, no acknowledgement of the long wait, but straight to the point asking for our order. We then sat and waited awhile, but then the same sweet lady brought our order to the table. Unfortunately the drink was wrong but my friend said it's okay, I'll just get it as a refill. The food was indeed very good and nice and hot.

The dining room had a serious black fly problem though, which was VERY GROSS and unsettling. There had to have been 5+ big black house flies in the corner area and around the surrounding tables where we were wanting to sit. I was embarrassed for having asked my colleague to meet me there.

The parking lot was nearly full as well. Once inside there were only 3 other dine-in guests so I assume the local construction crews are also...

Worst experience of my life!!! There was only one other family in there, after 15 minutes of not receiving our food I went up to the counter. When I asked if they were getting my food together they just looked at me, didn't acknowledge me speaking to them. 5 minutes after that, so now 20 minutes after we placed our order one of them look at me standing there and ask if I was waiting on something🤯 finally got our food 25 minutes after placing the order. They literally threw the bags on the counter, there was no interaction or apologies, they behaved like i was such an inconvenience to them. I ordered the fried pickles which they didn't give me, when I said something they asked if i had a receipt. The other family and I bonded in the parking lot over what a horrible experience it was and warned a nice young couple that parked to not eat there because they are a joke. The place was dirty, the staff was lazy and rude, the food was cold and nasty.
