Darlington Mercantile & Confectionary — Restaurant in South Carolina

We have visited a few times and I must say that we have really enjoyed it so far.

The ice cream may be the big attraction for most in this small town treasure, but what I’m absolutely loving is the fresh fruit and veggies in the plates we have ordered to go. The more color, the better, and “The Merc” is getting the job done RIGHT so far! (Yes, those are muscadines in today’s plate!) It is absolutely fantastic to be able to order healthy, FRESH, local food!

*We also tried the S’more’s in frappe form. As an avid daily Starbucks lover I’m impartial but I think it could grow on me. (Maybe add a domed lid with marshmallow whip, garnish with mini chocolate chips, and a little graham cracker crumble to give it that extra oomph).

We also have enjoyed some of the handmade soaps. We have purchased at least one of each scent and although the bars are small, they have great full and rounded scents that seem to last a reasonable amount of time. Not one to leave reviews but after eating here I had to go make a post and let others know how amazing the ice cream and food service is here. Food is always fresh and they have a wide variety of selections, not something to brag about but since they’ve opened I’ve literally been there 4 times a week to eat and get a milkshake. Definitely recommend...

I eat at this place very often but today was the worst service ever order a toasted BLT with chips what I got was untoasted BLT and chips ton the plate out of an open bag that was already used my son got the Nutella sandwich and a hot cocoa I also ordered a scoop of ice cream that I never received paid 16 bucks...
