South of Pearl — Restaurant in Darlington

My husband Michael and I were traveling from Maryland to Florida and we stopped in South Carolina and had lunch at South Of Pearl. When I say the food was great. I can't say enough how good the food is here. I don't usually go back for seconds, I did this time. The atmosphere was so inviting, the staff and customers were really nice. They treated us like they knew us forever. The restaurant itself is just beautiful. We where even lucky enough to meet the owners. They were just as pleasant and polite as everyone else. Very friendly people. If you are ever in South Carolina you must stop in and check out South Of Pearl you will enjoy your meal. Michael said the fried chicken reminded him of his mother and she was an excellent cook , that statement from him was a big compliment coming from him. South of Pearl did an incredible job catering my father's celebration of life service. My father's favorite meal was breakfast, and South of Pearl catered the most beautiful and tasty brunch. The staff was professional and attentive to every detail. The display was gorgeous, and the food was just as amazing as the buffet looked. The food was maintained at the perfect temperature, which made it all the more appetizing to eat after the service. My only regret is that my father was not around to enjoy the food with us. By far our favorite restaurant in Darlington. The staff is absolutley the best and the food is wonderful. The atmosphere is really what makes it though. Love, love, love this place.
