Food is good. Service is slow and inconsistent. I’d rate them 4 or 5 stars if the service was better. I was seated promptly. Order taken quickly. And the salad came out reasonably quick. My meal was slower than expected, but not horrible. I asked the waiter for hot sauce when he brought the food. I was almost done eating before he came back and that’s after waiting a few minutes before I started. They were not busy. He did apologize, but by then I was almost full. The check was very slow. I’d been done eating for about 10 min before it came out. I was never offered a refill. Tip: Tell the server you want the hot sauces. There are four. They are all pretty good. As far as the inconsistency, another table was seated about 5 min after me. They appeared to have good service. They also got their check about 10 min faster. They kept talking to the sushi guy, so they have been friends or something. I’ll probably go back one more time. If service is bad again I’ll downgrade the rating and not return. If it’s good, I’ll keep coming back and upgrade the rating once I see consistency.

I actually have been to Indo Thai before when they had a location in Myrtle Beach, but I did not remember loving the food. We were interested in the happy hour because the prices were very reasonable, but we came on a Saturday so the specials did not apply. That's okay though. We got the Vegetable Roll which has asparagus, avocado, and cucumber. I was pleased with the amount of pieces that came in the roll, which was 10. For my meal, I got the Pad See U with chicken. The chicken was dry which was a little disappointing, but everything else tasted excellent. My sister got a meal with chicken and also agreed that hers was dry. The owner and chef, Laura, was super sweet! She took our orders and explained the rationale for the happy hour. She also explained that they give full-size rolls during their happy hours, which is not typically something that happens at other restaurants. The food came out quickly and I was very pleased with the service and the attention. It's a smaller dining room, but it feels more personal and comfortable. I would definitely come back here again.

Indo Asian Bistro and Sushi Bar appears to be a strong choice for a unique and delicious dining experience in Myrtle Beach. With its fusion menu and focus on fresh ingredients, it offers something for adventurous eaters and sushi lovers alike. However, the slightly limited online reviews make it a good idea to check for any recent updates before your visit. Our visit to Indo showed some mixed reviews. They have ample food selections, from Asia and India. They have ample selection of sushi, which we ordered. The portions of the sushi were large. The spicy crab roll was spicy and good. The Hawaiian was too sweet. The seafood ceviche was very tasty. Prices are moderate.

This place has superb food, lousy service. . The seafood ceviche is absolutely outstanding and an excellent value. It has somewhere around 7 or 8 different seafood types including octopus, salmon, tuna, whitefish, scallops, shrimp, and more. The sauce is tangy, crisp, but light. Perfect summertime dish and the price (~$15 as of summer '25) makes it a steal, considering the price of sashimi. You get big chunks of premium fish in there and it serves about 4. The sushi (both sashimi and the rolls) are quality, fresh and tasty. I consider it a hidden gem restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, there is a sushi bar counter, a full bar and table seating. Lights are dim, music is at a soft, tolerable and non-disturbing volume. The only real drawback is the service. I have only ordered to go, on three occasions, so I can't speak to table service but the times I've ordered the food has taken a long time. One time I called to place a phone order and the line kept ringing with no answer, twice in a row. I let it ring a dozen or more times each call, no answer. So I just decided to stop in and place my order. When someone finally asked me what I wanted to order, after several minutes standing at the bar, I ordered three items and was told that the combo i ordered did not exist (it did). I ordered the three roll combo (I had ordered it previously) and I selected my three rolls per the menu listed options, but the sushi chef told me that the rolls I ordered were not options for that combo. I said they were on the menu. After ordering I stood there for about 8 to 10 minutes, and nobody started making the order and nobody gave me a bill or collected payment. Just awkward standing there. This was about 3pm, there were only 5 or 6 customers in the place. I finally left and placed the exact same order for delivery from grub hub. I get that to go orders don't always gel with the flow of things and sushi places focus on quality and presentation more than expediency, but I felt uncomfortable there and like I was being intentionally thrown shade. If you can avoid talking to anybody who works there, the food is excellent at...

I would give it zero or negative stars if I could. The worst Thai food I have ever tasted (it was too disgusting to eat). We mentioned to the guy taking the order that we wanted vegetarian food. He said they could customize a few items on their menu to make it vegetarian. We ordered the Thai green curry with vegetables (it also had pineapple), which isn’t too bad since it’s usually added to a lot of other savory food. We ordered to go and only tasted the food after we got home. The pineapple in it made the curry taste like dessert ( it seemed like they also added other sweeteners to the curry). The curry gave off such a terrible smell and one bite of it and I had to spit it out. It tasted that bad! It had a very fishy taste and an odd smell, which was unbearable. Normally fish sauce etc is added to Thai curry, but if someone explicitly tells you they want vegetarian food, either tell them it won’t be possible or don’t put fish and other seafood sauces to your curry. They even have a notice on menu saying, please inform about allergens or special dietary requirements. What’s the use of that, if you aren’t going to do anything about it. I have tasted Thai curry with fish sauce in the past and I know that although the fish sauce has a strong smell, it adds good flavor to the curry. What I tasted at this place wasn’t flavor, it was just stale, smelly & repulsive. I never thought a restaurant could make Thai food this bad, I guess I have found one today. I had to throw out the entire contents of the meal. I ended up eating microwave Mac and...

My family of five entered the door and no kne greeted us. We stood to the side to wait for instructions on whether to seat ourselves or to be seated. A gentleman from below the bar then said “sit wherever you want”. We immediately sat j a booth that would accommodate all of us and began looking over the menu. We each selected our entrees and waited for a waiter. No one ever came. We didn’t even get the courtesy of a head nod or a quick visit to the table from someone to tell us they would be with us shortly. After a while we got up and left to go to another restaurant. Not one word from staff was even said to us except the initial sit where you want. It is clear that high quality customer service for everyone is not a priority here.

Update: my family returned to give the restaurant a second chance. The owner was present and greeted us at the door before knowing that I was the one who previously wrote the critical review. She was extremely welcoming and friendly. She apologized again for our first experience. We were seated and received our free appetizer which was DELICIOUS (samosa’s). The food took a while to come so wait time was a tad long, but all came totally he gave at the same time. Portion sizes were adequate and a good amount for the price. Tofu isn’t Pas Se Ew wasn’t fried crispy and could have used a little more flavor but overall the meal was tasty and we left satisfied. Thank you for a...
