Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in South Carolina

EDIT: This might not be the employees fault, but a store issue or maybe even a company issue. Online ordering needs to be revamped. If I place an online order 10 minutes before arriving at the store, my order should at the very least be in the works. My experience today was awful. The line was long, I waited to the side to tell an employee I was there for a pick up. I was told “okay, I’ll call your name” 10-15 minutes went by and I had to interrupt the cashier to ask about my order. She told me I needed to get in line (it was 7 people deep) for me to give my name. Another 10-15 minutes in line, give my name and I’m told my order isn’t ready. I also said if I had known I needed to get in line, I would have from the beginning. She told me “how do we know you’re here if you don’t get in line?” At this point, I ordered 30+ minutes prior. If I could have walked out and canceled, I would have. But she had already told other customers they have nothing to do with online orders and I know how this goes, I’d have to contact support and wait for a refund. So I waited. Whatever. I waited another 15 minutes for my food. For the employee, she was blunt and rubbed me the wrong way, but she was constantly calling to the back to get my order. I appreciated that. Again, not sure if this is a store issue or company wide, but this needs to be reworked. A shelf for pick up orders, being able to tell the person bagging food you’re there for a pick up and giving your name. It’s very simple. Making someone stand in line and then not even having the food started until the person is there isn’t ok. What’s the point in ordering online then?

Was a super rough day for me being the anniversary of my daughter’s death. I decided to treat myself to Popeyes and that was a big mistake. Wasted 45+ minutes and I was so upset by the time I left, I cried the whole way home. Food was okay. It was obviously hot since my order wasn’t started when it should have been. Not enough pickle glaze on the sandwich. Very bad experience. Easy fixes here to make things...

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I placed an online order at 7:40pm… as I am writing this post, it is now 8:20pm. Upon arrival at the location there was literally not a single soul working the counter or the kitchen. When someone’s did finally appear, I told them my name, and I was “informed” that they didn’t have my order ready or that the sides I had ordered were available. They literally only had fries and mashed potatoes available. This will be the last time I get food from this location. The other one in the area is an additional 15 minute drive and I will gladly take it moving forward. I see that I’m not the only customer that’s had this type of experience here, and unfortunately will not be the last. I don’t leave many reviews on places, but definitely decided that this one deserves it. During the time I wrote this review, they turned away more business because they were “Out of that” then orders taken. The floor was gross and had trash all over it. It honestly looked like it hadn’t seen a mop in days. My next step is to contact my local health department and let them know about my experience. A simple, “Is there anything we can do to make this right?” Would have gone a long way. I would have just ordered something else, like I did, but the gesture would have been nice.

Instead the workers were more concerned about the NBA Playoff Game that was on the tv then what their customers experienced.

I have been to a lot of Popeyes to eat chicken but let me tell you this if you are on your way to Myrtle Beach South Carolina and you are going to go through Florence make sure you stop at Popeye's Chicken on the left going into Florence you know where the big gas station is on the left me and my wife stop there on my way home coming from towards Myrtle Beach we had been to South of the border and it was doing Father's Day and the wait time for a dinner at a restaurant was 45 minutes to an hour well you know I wasn't about to wait that long so we went up the road and they're set Popeyes over there on the right and I told my wife I said you know what let's go in here and try this Popeye's Chicken and see how they are chicken taste compared to other Popeyes and just when I said that she bought me a three piece wing dinner and I want you to know that chicken was not greasy matter of fact that is the best chicken I have had in a while I normally go to Kentucky fried Chicken but here lately they're a chicken is too greasy I don't like real breezy chicken I'm kind of mess with my stomach you know what I mean well if you get a chance stop by anyway you know I won't tell you anything wrong when it comes to eating I'm going to get right down to the nitty gritty if the food is not right you know I'm going to tell you
